It was one of the easiest games to 100%, because the trophies were for the most part just a natural result of gameplay and not some absurd, farfetched thing. It was similiar with GoW: Ragnarok. I'm not usually a completionist but with those games Platinum was just so natural
This 💯💯💯...I love that they made it so natural coz I think too many games end up just padding in so much endless needless side content to pad out games but not all games need be that big to where they become a slog.
@@Johten Imo, it's not that they were natural but they were mostly done through natural realm traversal as you did the story. I think that's what he's getting at. That you didn't have to actively go on an extensive silly fetch quest to finish the game, unless you just ignored the stuff completely whilst rushing through the main story that's when you'd find it boring coz having to go back and do that stuff in isolation is obviously tedious. Coz every game has its random unnecessary side quests and for Spiderman 2 that was probably the spider bot collectibles for Ragnarök I'd probably use the flower collectibles. So it's not done to an extent where they unnecessarily fluff the game
You know how many bots are in every dictrict and the districts are not that big. A few minutes of swinging/gliding around and you usually come across the last ones.

I probably got the funniest 100% I ever have with this game. A PS5 automatically screenshots the second you earn a platinum and puts a frame around it to mark the occasion, and my last thing to do was the Spiderbots. I watched the cutscene and saw the Spiderverse portal close, and the screenshot the game thought would commemorate the 100% Platinum Trophy was Peter Parker staring at a brick wall.
Chain lightning fully upgraded is how you do that mysterio challenge very easily. Mix that with webbing targets and using webs to throw people of the ledges.
I did just dps check it, use the venom surge whenever there's 3 or more enemies close to eachother, use all 3 finishers, use abilities, then venom surge again if available. Whenever none of the above were available I just used upshot and air combo's with the increased damage
i just spammed literally everything, in packs i use his sucking electric thing and when there spread upshot then web grapple, the right bumper abilities are crazy op in u just spam whatever is available cause they all auto lock so while you do it fly around hitting them at the same time
8:12 I don't know where people are getting this idea, the game clearly said that Peter is taking a break not retiring and in that time Miles will be the one to step up till Peter presumably returns in Spider-man 3.
Its not only about retiring and such. Its how they treat and trash Peter to make Miles stand out and take over. They are even making him say "why would the city need me when it has you" Like bro cmon. He so recently became spiderman and already way more powerful than a hero that is already doing that job for almost a decade. And plus the name controversy. Peter is Spiderman because its his hero name. Since damn 1960s or smth. Its an extension of his personality his power and his responsibility. Miles is only living up to his legacy and fighting against HIS villains and people and devs saying oh he is the better spiderman. No.. Just bruh no.. The character doesn't even have a proper character arc or saga. They need to make a Miles Morales too and give him a name like Silk that is his own. Shocker's boss fight has him punch shocker in the face which hurt his hand and gets flung through a bank fault door and wins by collapsing the chandelier onto Shocker. Tombstone's boss fight has him create a whole counter drug beforehand to dull Tombstones invincibility while getting knocked into a wall and winning because of the counter drug and all the damage done to him. Mr Negative boss fight has him get flung to a different train waits till Martin is tired and attacks and wins by kicking Mr Negative into exposed wires shocking him unconscious. Taskmaster boss fight has him out skilling Taskmaster and wins by webbing him up. Peter isn't retiring, he's stepping down so miles can do the day to day stuff. He'll come back when green goblin, carnage, doc occ, chameleon or any of the other remaining villains start shit
So Miles is only good for dealing with common thugs. Good to know, I mean I already knew that, but it's nice of them to confirm that when it comes to real threats, Miles is completely useless by himself.
@coltonwilkie241 he's not useless, he's just still adjusting. He's adapted to spiderman better than Peter because he had guidance but he's not perfect so having backup on call is handy

Did you get all of the spider bots? There is a cutscene after finding all of them. They don’t show on the map, but it tells you how many there are per district, so you can find them fairly easily just swinging around the districts where they are missing.

There are always flaws and improvements to be made. But that does not give you free license to insinuate that game developers are lazy and uninspired. If you can't do constructive criticism. The only difference is more cutscene’s and a lazy parry mechanic that is utterly uninspired. Developers are forced to make tired and repetitive decisions and animations because that’s what draws in the most people. If you truly disagreed, you’d be able to name several gameplay mechanics that have IMPROVED the gameplay. I’ll admit there are quick fire gadgets, which Batman Arkham City accomplished 10 years ago or so, but besides that “Spider-Man 2” (lazy name choice as well) is more of a movie that you occasionally get to play. Did he do the Spiderbots and just didnt show it? Would have loved to see his reaction to the ending of it. Also i dont think Pete retired at the end of the game, it gives me more of a "Peter´s on sabbatical" so i think Miles might be the main spiderman in a potential "Miles Morales 2" but in Spider Man 3 hes gonna be back.
To calm people down they are not getting rid of Peter he is just taking a break from Spider-Man to manage his life so he doesn’t end up being broke like every Spider-Man.
I don’t know how I 100%’d it the weekend it came out, but somehow I did. The game felt like a nonstop adrenaline fever dream, and now I can’t wait for NG+.
The best thing about this game is Miles backpack suit with the spider cat. Doesn’t matter how serious they try to get, that cat will pop out of the bag to add hilarity to the scene.
I first tried that mysterio mission, you just have to use chain lightning and use the Mega venom blast early on, also you need to collect all the spiderbots
You really can’t do it until the endgame when you have all the abilities. Anything before that is really hard to pull off. I basically did it perfectly when it first became available and still only did 1:15
The "safe" and "danger" icons are for regular strike takedowns, if you are careful you can get away with perch and wall takedowns even when its dangerous
What sucks for me is that under construction challenge was my first and I did it around level 30. Didn't even know what reverse flux was. I got around it by fully upgrading air combo damage and the weopn throw because enemies on ledges instantly fell off

And yeah they are moving on from Peter but i think PlayStation Studios always do this to give their frsnchises some extra longevity without tiring out the main character. The same way that they moved on from Joel to Ellie and they are also easing us in for life after Kratos in God Of War where Atreus may eventually takeover and also when they started to ease out Nathan Drake in Uncharted etc its basically an easy way to have both characters exist but then call on the nostalgia of the previous character either via flashbacks or bringing them in here and there but simultaneously developing the game in a new direction. Coz sometimes it gets boring storytelling wise to uust constantly drag out a character like what TV shows often end up doing when they are afraid to kill off a main character or move on from a main character.
I don’t think miles is the main MAIN Spider-Man considering it would be off for him to fight both doc oc and green goblin when he only has beef with one so he’ll probably be Spider-Man for a bit in the game then Peter comes realising who’s in the game

Nah, the Dead Space remake team is working on an Iron Man game. They won’t have 2 separate iron man games being made. Wolverine game is next for Insomniac.
If you still cant do the Mysterium challenge in Harlem you can put your game to friendly neighbourhood spiderman level so the enemies are weaker and put your play speed at 30% so its slower for you also at the start jump into the middle platform and use the pull gadget to pull the enemies in and then use reverse flux and grab objects to throw at enemies
I hate how ppl keep saying carnage is dlc. Ik it seems to make sense but think about it. Imagine if after the first game there was a tease for venom…and then we got him in a Dlc… it would just be lame. Chameleon dlc, Carnage/ Green Goblin/ Doc Ock for 3rd game!!
