WG implemented a truly game-changing buff to the Zao where they increased the turret traverse from 36s to 30s, clearly this changes the ship entirely. Discord: / discord Stream: / flamuu Insta: / flamugram Twitter: / flamuchz
The extra range from buffed Eye in the sky is very welcome, as seen by the constant acceleration jukes against the BBs. Zao heavily benefits from being able to keep distance. Actually more useful than the pitiful turret traverse buff. Twitter: twitter.com/flamuchz Discord: discord.gg/Flamu Stream: www.twitch.tv/flamuu Insta: instagram.com/flamugram/
It's Sir David Attenborough hehe But damn, what a game, all that damage for 2 kills. & Any turret traverse buff on IJN CAs is ALWAYS welcome, good god, havent you played a stock Myoko recently?
8:45 at this precise time we can see this remarkable specimen of a DD player in the Humphreys, who fled a flank with a single Alvaro as opposition, straightline and die to Haku torps. Truly an animal of all time.
Exactly. 200 battles on his account and he's gonna buy a premium as soon as it hits the stores. Unfortunately thats the main player base - you can see them each day. Makes me want to have teamkilling back.
I like that everything WG does makes this game more and more biased towards long range engagement. CVs keep you camping. Subs keep you camping. Every new ship added to the game has 3000 km gun range. The only people getting into sub-12km engagements are the German BB players who rush in a Schlieffen or GK or Preussen, but half the time even those guys just sit at the back and miss every shot.
Another symptom of Long Range are CV's plane spotting you from 10,000 Miles away and every ship with infinite range blowing you up before you can even get out of spawn, it's really fun.
Flamuu should be required to say how brrrrrroooooken is zao and malta should be required to shout CRUISERS! everytime he gets a good salvo (or gets devstruck)
I love your face when you saw the base xp of Rupprecht 😆 I didnt know it was even possible to get as few xp in a game. I ysually report all players under 300xp. Never saw 95. New Record
I saw someone who somehow got 5 base xp, presumably they got the tiniest bit of spotting damage for a low caliber gun that did the weird tiny ricochet damage and that was it.
i always loved playing those cruisers like Zao and Hindenburg, too bad they are so much harder to play in the state the game has been in since the CV rework
Can sometimes happen in coop battles. For example when most bots decide to abandon your flank from the start, so you don't get much to shoot at (especially annoying on a map like Two Brothers). Low bxp also happened to me first time I tried a T6 sub in coop. Sub and torps were so slow that the cruisers and BB on my flank had sunk everything I shot torps at before I could do much.
@@The_White_Warlord We have that its called Yodo with 150mm. I looked on the Maine what WG did to Super Montana so Zao with the same treatment+ little as possible changing the whole ship. But if we talk about something special removing torpedo tubes(Because of the retarded angles) adding one turret in front(15sec reload),layout as Mogami,32mm armor plating.50k hp. But its funny how oldest cruiser in-game still dont have Super variant and ships like cough cough RU cruisers have them,BB too.
@@Wulfalier Quad turrets on BBs used to significantly save weight per barrel, as BB guns are heavily armored and require heavy powerful mashinery to rotate them. Those quad turrets were extremely complex even by comparison with tripple and often malfunctioned. On cruisers they were not just complex and prone to malfunctions, but also didn't give any weight savings, since cruiser turrets are lightly armored and have much less space for loading mechanisms than BB onrs. That's why cruisers never ever used quad turrets IRL, while experiments with quad secondaries failed hard. So more likely they're going to use 5 tripple 203mm turrets for Super Zao. Maine has quads because some Montana preliminary designs used 3 quad 406mm turrets and inner belt (which proofed as bad option as ship is much easier to capsize during intence engagement as due to damage from BB HE and AP rounds unprotected outer area would take insane ammounts of water inside leading the ship to list hard, so they throw it away and used standard outer belt option. While it looks like, that unfortunately WG just ignored this fact and made Maine with inner belt to shorten ship, reduce tonnage (to reduce HP) and armor just to make it smaller and weaker than Hannover and Ushakov abominations "to continue Montana branch as it is", so we aint getting proper Super Montana unfortunately as it should've been made), so WG just upscaled them a bit.
@@The_White_Warlord Yodo is continuing the style of Atago with pyramid style turrets the only change is that the second turret is facing forward and not backwards.I can see Atago layout with 5x3 as a steel ship or coal. Super Zao is continue the line of Mogami,Ibuky with front turrets high-low-low and all forward facing so simple adding one turret in front of the first is a nice continuing of Mogami layout. Btw with Super Zao we are talking about 5x3 203mm The first comment was mean as a joke
With most of the real player base having abandoned the game, you feign surprise at the fact you're just left with a few veterans and a lot of players who sailed through the grind without learning a goddamn thing.
@@demosearies7591but still has one of the largest turning circles in game, ballistics that make it extremely difficult to use the range you have, and even after all that, you STILL get out dpmed by 155mm mogami two tiers below you
well...now it's on par with many BBs, unfortunately it's a cruiser...it should have faster turrets travers than BBs by default... this ship is truly in a fine state KEKW
We have a memetic expression about Alexes like that - pet form of Alexei, exactly for people like that - "Алёша". That's understandable by any Russian-speaking player. He's the poster child. He proves that by sole nickname too.
I saw him shoot at the GK Flamu was fightng near the end at least once, so maybe that was the one time he had a seizure in his index finger and thus accidentally double-clicked the left mouse button. Would explain his bxp gain maybe. 😇
95 base xp is honestly impressive. I don't think I could manage that even in coop mode while half asleep. 😲😵💫 maybe WG should introduce motor yachts, for players who just want to drive a ship around without doing much of that pesky fighting. 🤔😇
Agreed. Since deleting the game months ago, due to double CV matches (unacceptably stupid), nevertheless I've still liked to watch Flambass, Flamu and Trenlass. They offer great commentary. However, this will be the last WOWS video I ever watch. It is no longer amusing to watch this pathetic attempt at game design. Sympathies to the content creators who have been betrayed by such poor game designers. They will never grow their channels unless they move away from WOWS. This game is dead.
I've seen a lot of "players" like that Alex over and over and over. Typically 30% winrate (sometimes even less!) and legit' do NOTHING the entire game. Some of them sail to map border and sometimes admit to being AFK the whole match. And WG never ever do anything to them.
It has been powercreeped, A LOT. It was once very god...but today: its a "heavy" cruiser, but just explodes in modern games because of the amount of overmatch. So You eat damage from everywhere with very short range yourself. and the community wanted a health and armor buff for years now, and what did WG? better Turret speed. ...yay.... Zao ist the maybe worst T10 cruiser you can research by now.
I don’t PLAY the game anymore, but I Think the meme is about WG says their data are showing that many people play Zao and therefore it must be a good ship, even though the ship is statically worse that almost all other tier 10 cruisers.
@@Schnatterinchen in previous patches Zao had HP buff, actually turret buff is a big deal for Zao, be couse you can now run legend mod and cannon mod at the same time, making Zao the most accurate ship in the game, i the past this combination was practiacally unplayble do extramly slow turret traverse and need of the turret mod instead cannon mod.
@@EvoraGT430Des Moines has an autoloader. And besides, when Zao was made WeeGee was still in Russia and we all know the Russians are still salty about the Battle of Tsushima in 1905 lmfao
@@GarretTheGussy Are you serious? What do you not understand? "...*less* than 10%." Have you checked the video? You know what fire chance WG claims for the Zao? >20%, it doesn't matter if she has 8, 9 or 11%. She should have >20%!!!!!
@@jaqenhghar9758 You have to keep in mind that fire chance doesn't take into account enemy ships that are running captain skills or equipment that lowers fire chance, and that some of those shell hits were while DCP was active on enemy ships, at which point their fire chance would be zero. Also, probability doesn't mean it'll always average out to the stated fire chance every time.
The base fire chance of zao is 22% if not mistaken. However, all t10 ships have a built in 50% base fire chance reduction, so you come out at around 10%. Captain skills like fire prevention reduce it a little more.
This game reminds me one of the reasons why I would never go back at WOWS...other players being dumb AF and unable to play the objectives or simply understand what the game objectives are.
How to carry this? Easy, with a BIG meat hook that you slam through the guy's skull and lift it on your back. That, bay the way, is the ONLY way "something" can go in his head!
How the F is 95 even possible , Is it a "AI BOT" disguised as a player by WG to discover if they can populate the game with bots to disguise the amount of humans leaving, but a shit bot is less likely than a shit human a BOT would probably have at least 1 kill and minimum 500xp.
Flamu you should see how scummy they being with legends with those crates and the summer crates are a huge scam . An don’t get me started on how bad the chances are on these crates . Like holy shit .05% change to get a ship . Or better yet 1.2 % change to get ur dubs back lmao .
It's because Hannover is a torp and fire magnet and is really easy to kill. Hannover relays heavily on team play and support because trying to slip between torps is almost impossible with it and fires do alot of DMG to it before it can get into range. You can burn down a Hannover in 1min and 30 secs with a good HE spam ship or if thunder or conq is on the map your so dead because they will burn you down before u get into range and you can't rely on your guns do to gunners being drunk af
Zao looking absolutely BROKEN with the buffs. Clearly it was the buffs that created this performance, and not outplaying everyone on the entire enemy team constantly while being brutally punished for even the slightest mistake. Definitely not the skill of the player, nerf Zao
