My mare never drinks when out, i fill a water bucket and chuck a handful of chaff on top. As she tries to get the chaff she slurps loads of water 🙏 works a treat everytime

Another super event vlog! 🙂. Have you considered taking him on a steeplechase track to get your eye and confidence back at that open canter stride into a fence. And some times hunting does the job of getting the spirit back into older horse worked with my in the past. X

A propos the temperature, it is winter in the southern hemisphere and South Sfrica gets very cold, especially on the Highvekd, i.e. Pretoria Johannesburg. Westen Cape has snow on the mountains!

Great video again, thank you for that. But I have a question for you if you don't mind. The sport used to be called military and that made sense knowing where it came from, nowadays we call it eventing but when did someone had the idea of putting what you call "skinny" jumps into it?? In my opinion it makes no sense, all the fences are more or less natural but there is nothing natural in jumping a fence like a skinny.

If you are looking for stuff to help with your horses breathing during shows something that may help is cayenne pepper it helps heal the lungs and Vicks Vapor Rub is another thing you can try it helps with breathing during runs this is just some ideas love your videos

How to fix your lower back and hips... Sit up on a hard bottom chair. So you can feel your butt bones on the chair. Again, sit up and proper not back and slouching. Pinch your shoulder blades together pull your upper body straight up. Keep your legs bent at a 90 degrees, gently lift one leg up and rest your ankle bone on your opposite knee. AGAIN.... Sit up on your butt bones not back against the chair. You may have to physically lift your leg up onto your knee depending what side of your body is tight. (Mine is the right side) If you need extra stretch let you arm weight rest on the knee and leg that you are stretching. Muscle atrophy in the legs will cause pulling on the lower spine. Do this stretch 3 times a day or before and after riding/working. This will also help if you tend to ride with your toes and knee pointing out or if your legs are not the same length in stirrups.
