I couldn't agree with you more. From Link's perspective, it must have been a mindfuck. As if you entered the temple with false comfort. Thinking that you know about nature. The Sun, the birds, the trees and flowers. But the temple shows us how untamed the real forest is. A primal maze of haunting shadows and predators. The lost woods was like a stroll in central park, whereas the Forest temple is like being stranded in the heart of the Amazon for weeks.
@@theraque1 I was about to comment on the OCs comment, then I saw this note about this comment being RebeccaETripp's comment. Holy shit, what a compliment and I wholly agree with you @RebeccaETripp.
it brings us bck and reopens our minds to better times innated through escape. it is beautiful enough to shed a tear over (if one can recollect in correction lol) doesnt anybody else get reborn like a wart from thwarts like this dork?!?!
Omg the music for Ocarina is amazing. They really need to bring these songs back in BOTW 2. We really need some nostalgic music again. Nothing can beat the old school music just so much love within it
There was a great theory that was explained and said that OOT is actually Miyamotos expression of the challenges of becoming an adult from a child. This song seems like a portrayal of what is felt as a child watched his/her body transform into an adult during puberty. It’s scary yet fascinating? Idk it sounds weird but I did love that theory and this may back it up.
@@andrewrecreatormusic3536 Dude! Please do more. your renditions of Koji Kondo's music in this game is True to his original idea which you build on with modern technology. Many people go over the top, You on the other hand understand the music in these temples are the way they are for a reason.
Imagine, finding a place such as the forest temple.... Ancient but hauntingly alive, almost breathing with each step you take, almost like its asleep just waiting to be woken up. Filled with danger and aw at every turn, having corridors and rooms filled with a mysterious light, hearing faint whispering trickle throughout your thoughts, absolutely one of the coolest levels I've ever experienced in a game and this soundtrack would've made it 1000 times more mysterious
These places exist, especially if you live somewhere in Europe, I currently live in Czechia and man... my hikes in the forest I've encountered so many ruins/temple like places and they all give me the Forest Temple vibes. Super trippy, scary and yet pleasing.
I love hearing my favorite songs reinterpreted because it reminds me of the magic that possessed them that I’ve gotten used to. This is a fantastic remix, it keeps the original feeling but adds so much new flare at the same time
Man it’s hard to find people who remember good games like this beautiful music as well I remember playing this game my sister and no one remembers good songs like this it’s a super good game really well went to the temple very well
The Forest Temple is my favorite temple of the dungeons, the strangely alluring and inviting atmosphere, yet at the same creepy and foreboding nature of the temple with its twisted hallways and tall, vine-covered courtyards.
No matter how many times I rewatch 2:35 to 3:05 is by far the most captivating, trance inducing, eerie enchanted part that wholly captures the mystical and warped forest temple, holy SHIT, this is good.
Adored this. I miss how easy it was to get lost in the oot world as a kid. Subtle hints of a history being recycled over and over, but each era having its own personality. Idk why, but the po ghosts that stole the flames in the forest temple beginning always got me right in the feels. Its a subtle nod at, again, a mysterious yet obviously deep, rich lore that isnt overdramatized and makes the world feel its own outside of the main plot
Dude are you my double or what!? This particular theme is my favorite of Ocarina of Time, it really reflected the enviroment. Your version is amazing. And about Yoshi Island, was my favorite SNES game so i'm eager to see what you deliver. I bow to your talent
You step foot inside the strange mansion, or is it a fortress long forgotten from a bygone dark age? You push the question aside looking around to the time lost stones of brick cloaked in overgrowth. Already you feel as if someone or something is watching, despite there being no evident sign of anything inhabiting the eerie structure beside yourself. You look to the carpet that is mere grass, the trees posing as pillars holding a ruined ceiling aloft beneath a roof of branches and leaves. Then you look to the door dead ahead, something inside yourself tugging, shouting for you to turn and leave. But you ignore it, pressing on despite your unease. You cannot give in to fear or doubt, not here. Here you must hold fast to your wits and raw courage. The forest sage awaits...
That went from relaxing my butt off to an ancient ruins sorta vibe to get me the heck out of this place real quick. Perfect. you really captured and amplified the atmosphere of the forest temple.
Really good! Always was one of my favorite places and tunes in the game just because of how mysterious it was. Your re-arrangement is nice, especially the cinema type feel you give to it.
Oh my gosh, this is a real piece of art, I love really the zelda games and this is just amazing, at the half of this one it's getting better and better 😅👌
I love your take on this theme. I absolutely love the forest temple. It's probably my favorite one and I also love the theme for it as well! This is well.
My god. I don’t comment on RU-vid very often, but this homage literally gave me chills. MASTERFUL piece, Andrew. I am enraptured, and will certainly be following your work. 3:11 - magical!
The forest temple is my favorite dungeon ever in the zelda series and the song one of my utmost favorites from the n64 zelda games. Nevwr heard a good remix of it until now. Amazing job
Ok so, Ive listened to this song at least 100 times sir or mam. I guess you could say im obsessed with this song. I guess i want to say thank you for letting me have this experience i ultimately enjoy. It makes me wonder what other temple songs would be like if you remixed them, like the original chant song from fire temple. Oh that would be dope. Also about this song, i really enjoy you kept the suspensful nature of it. You manage to keep the nature of it and extend it with your own twist. You nailed it. Thank you very much.
The original track put me in a trance. There was an actual magic to it and I always felt like I wanted to find a real forest temple with the same mysterious, mischievous energy. That inspired the rendition of this song. One day I hope to do the same thing for thenother temples, but this one is special. I've also listened 100 times and I have a second song which is original but inspired by this one. I should post it.
An old, abandoned mansion in the middle of a mysterious wood? Sounds like a fun time! Seriously though, great rendition! I love all the extra background instruments you added to really add to the mood of the piece! Makes it unique! Bravo!
You really captured the mindfuck feel of the temple. I mean those weird twisted corridors and the falling ceiling. The forest temple is nothing short of surreal
Congrats. You made the Forest Temple track ten times creepier. The percussion during the first "choral" bit makes it. Jesus.... This is something you expect to be eerie in certain ways, only for it through so many curve-balls at you. The sheer dissonance between what the listener knows/expects from the track, and what you've added and embellished is truly harrowing. This also recreates the impact of the original track upon first hearing it in-game. I cannot image what a brilliantly fucked-up mind like yours would do the Shadow Temple track. Keep at it, man. A hard-earned sub coming your way
Harrowing! I’m glad the final experience was positive though :). And I tried to finish the track with some big, open chords to balance the creepy middle. I may do shadow temple one day, but that one is already very creepy!
