I am in a mixed on the direction Nintendo is going for live action instead an anime movie. *The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes'* actress Hunter Schafer is very interested in playing the role of Zelda. Fans believed she'll be perfect for the role so I agree with them. But who will play as Link? I hope it is an unfamiliar young talented actor that isn't Tom Holland. My only concerns is whether or not it will have an original story that is build by confident writers under Miyamoto's supervision, and will a possible Triforce trilogy have some Zelink moments. Link and Princess Zelda's relationship should be as well established as it was done in both Skyward Sword and Breath of the Wild/Tears of the Kingdom.

I feel cautiously optimistic. I hope the movie is done right, but I'm also scared it'll be messed up. A live action movie adaptation of Zelda could be a little tricky to pull off. Story wise, I hope the folks sprinkle some genuinely sweet moments of Zelda and Link together in it. And as for the cast? As long as whoever is cast in their respective role (s) has studied the material they're to portray, I'll be satisfied. Heck, I'd even settle for a mixed race Link or a Zelda born in the Gerudo tribe.

I think they should work on 3 Zelda movies simultaneously. Live-action Twilight Princess era movie, Illumination-style Wind Waker movie, and Ghibli-style Breath of the Wild movie

In Twilight Princess, I'd go w/ Sakurai Takahiro AND Johnny Yong Bosch as Link the Hero o' the Twilight. Plus Koshimizu Ami AND Kate Higgins as Zelda in the same Twilight Era.

I'm honest scared about the Zelda movie. I'd have felt waaaaaay more comfortable if Miyamoto had been partnering with Studio Ghibli for a Zelda anime before attempting a live action film. It should be great, with Miyamoto directly involved, but we'll just have to see.

All I can think about right now is Disney 100 and how Wish is coming out in roughly a week. I also had a bad bout of a headache, hot flashes, a small sensory overload panic attack, and terrible hypersensitivity to light and sound, all in the same day. Hearing some intriguing Zelda Weekly News is a nice distraction, even if loud cars continually going by my window will drive me to distraction.

I wonder what good left handed actor could play Link? Or at least even if the actor is right handed, could play a left-handed role. Bc i know for example, Keanu Reeves is left handed but he plays a right handed character in John Wick. Ultimately, I do agree it should be a lesser known actor to play him. Also for Zelda? Idk. Ganondorf? A good actor that's really muscular but can act really good and has played a great antagonist.

I'm genuinely so excited for this movie! I feel like I'm one of the only people who are excited it's gonna be live action but that's fine... the movie is gonna turn out great no matter what!!

Oh come on. 😢 you didn’t list my opinion for Link’s voice as Scott Arthur? Lol. Seriously though. I think this has been a long time coming for a Zelda movie. I’m so hyped! Tom Holland would be fine but I think my personal choice for Link would be Timothee Chalamet, Daisy Ridley as Zelda, and Liev Schrieber as Ganondorf. They could just CGI that for him. Hey it worked for Josh Brolin as Thanos right?

My answer to how are we feeling about the Zelda movie is meh because honestly i was hoping to enter 2024 with either Twilight Princess HD for the switch in my possession and not something that doesn’t really need to exist seeing as The Legend of Zelda is and will forever be timeless pardon the pun 😂

My only worry about Tears of the Kingdom at the Game Awards this year is that it will end up as another Xenoblade 3 situation where it's nominated for a lot of categories but it won't win any of them.

Hot take incoming, but I think the movie would be best served not having Link in it at all. He's an intentionally flat character because he's meant for the player to embody, so to translate to film, I think Zelda should be the main character. My ideal movie would be Zelda's development into Sheik and the events that happened to her during the 7 years Link was sealed away

Miyamoto is going senile. You do not hire the producer of Moribus and the screenwriter from Rise of Skywalker and get success. This has to be the most tone deaf decision Nintendo has made and that's saying a lot considering their other tone deaf decisions. Fans begged and pleaded for years for an animated movie. There are art students, animators, storyboard artists and more from the east and west who would have given anything to make an animated Zelda movie. And this just spits in the face of all those people who have loved and supported this franchise for decades. I'm advocating for a boycott. This film cannot be allowed to succeed. If it does, then Sony will do everything in their power to retain those rights and ensure that Zelda never gets animated or becomes a part of a wider cinematic universe without their lazy, greedy slice of the pie taken. They've destoryed Spider-Man, they can't be allowed to do this to the Zelda franchise.
