Did you rivet the BOM mount to the wing or use nuts and bolts? I have a BOM for my Zenith 601 and I’m debating on riveting the mount to a wing rib or cutting an access panel in the wing and mounting it on the panel
It looked like there were two different readings between the GRT and the BOM. Did you ever get them to jive? Where is your magnetic compass? Thanks for sharing your progress, I know that's time consuming to "film", edit, and upload; especially if you have limited time to get things done in the hangar not to mention fly.
There are two items I was looking at comparing the BOM to the sport EFIS, the airspeed and altimeter. It was very bumpy that day so the readings on both were jumping a little, but overall, yes I got them to be within 1mph of each other. The BOM has the magnetometer built in, so that is my magnetic heading. The EFIS only show GPS heading.
@mhilderbrand7693 Thank you for responding! I would love to hear your assessment on your avionics set up and the Viking engine when you get it all dialed in. When I was kid (late 70s), I had a big wheel called the Green Machine and it was the same color as your wrap -- perhaps a nice name for your Zenith. My step-sister lives in Ocala and when ever I get my Cherokee sorted out I want to make a trip that way to visit her and maybe see the "Green Machine" (Wilmington, NC). @@mhilderbrand7693
