My first thought was "what a wimp, using a powered dolly to move his KF." Then I noticed it was moving sideways, and the entire setup, nice job! I did similar with a T-Craft, and a Titan Tornado, both kept in buildings with doors narrower than their span, it's a viable concept, the dolly work/hassle is much less than retro fitting a building for a wing spanned size door for sure.
i learn something new every time i watch your video. so you go sideways in the hanger. clever. ive been looking for a 33 foot wide garage door system to accommodate my future build. i wasnt sure about the rolling system for the tundra tires but you have that part figured out. thx
We in down state Illinois have tried to get the state to offer more doe permits but the decisions are made 300 miles north in Chicago it seems where deer are not a problem. Haha
I love your landing gear "bean camera"... that gave me a good laugh! (I think you said you are growing beans... is that right?) (I only counted 6 deer in your first low pass)
Hey Glenn how's life out west? This field is in soybean. We grow corn and wheat also. My inside camera is not very clear and me and go pro always have troubles. Haha. Glad I don't make a living with a camera. Haha
Aha... soybeans. Got it. I don't hear of soybeans being grown around these parts at all. Nor corn nor wheat for that matter. But we have lots of alfalfa being grown. But the local deer seem to prefer lawns for grazing... I've not seen them grazing the alfalfa. Things are good out west. I received my kit over the winter and it is spread out in my kitchen and living room as I await the completion of my new detached garage/shop where I will do the build (I'm replacing an old detached 1-car garage).
@@GlennSisson That's great to hear you are now looking and touching real parts for a Kitfox now! I look forward to hearing about your build along the way. Enjoy the ups and downs of building! haha. Is this your first build or are you an old pro at it?
Very cleaver way to hanger and move an aircraft efficiently !! My friend, you have the wrong attitude towards the deer. In New Zealand, we farm them as they are one of the BEST meat sources of the World. (They were a real problem here too). Very lean and tasty. When you have lemons, you make Lemonade. Don't be sour about it ! Dollars to be made there. Not only the meat, but the velvet too. I LOVE your "FARMFOX". (Brilliant name considering ......) The "Tax man" probably thinks you purchased an expensive quad buike !! Ha, Ha. It appears to go like a cut cat too ! Good to see somone trying something different with the camera angles. Many thanks for sharing. From Christchurch, New Zealand.
Thanks very much for the comment! My instructor that trained me to fly many years ago was from New Zealand. There are a few deer farms here but they only raise them for game hunters to pick one out and hunt, they call it hunt. haha. Hunters here only hunt for big bucks. No one hunts the doe for meat. So they continue to have twins each year with no predators. Farmfox has became a great farm tool to check crops. I get a much better view of the big picture. God Bless you.
I got tired of removing the yellow exhaust stains that the rotax engines produce so I added the extension and have not cleaned it since! Its not pretty but It eliminated the staining all together. Thanks for watching!
The population is sky rocketing because hunters are only hunting trophy deer. No one hunts does any more and that is where the problem is. One buck can service a whole heard of does and they mostly have twins in this grain rich region. In 15 years this problem has over came us. Hunting sounds good but doesn't help much at all. Thanks for the plane comment. It is fun to fly!
Hi Harlan. Been keeping up with you just haven't reached out. What neck o the woods you hail from. Gotta pick up my son from N. Ga in two weeks n take him to Illinois and get my granddaughter to come down here for 2-3 weeks. If'n it's not too far outa the way I'd like to swing by n say howdy do
I agree I am a terrible camera operator. Trent does it for a living and is very good. He spends hours doing a video. I enjoy doing it a little but I will never be good with my phone and one gopro that always messes up. Haha
Trent is good that for sure, and you have an awesome airplane, I can watch your content all day. It's all worth the effort. I have a baby Ace I hope to get flying next year. The camera side of it just looks just as fun as the flying.
