Founded in 2003 by two scientists, Zenni Optical has grown from a small, local San Francisco company to one of the largest online optical retailers. They provide affordable eyewear, and offer a wide selection from prescription eyeglasses to custom goggles. Their manufacturing process uses the most current materials and ship directly from their Chinese factory, cutting out the middleman - the Luxottica cartel. I ordered express shipping and never got a shipping notice - but they showed up the day I was about to freak out. Here's my Zenni Optical online eyeglass buying story.

I've purchased 7 pair of glasses from Zenni and have had nothing but good to say about them. I'd recommend them to anyone who wants to save a lot of money. My regular eye care place wants $550 - $600 for the pair of glasses I want. I paid less than $130 at Zenni for the same pair. I get lineless bifocals, self tinting lenses (auto darkening) and they get my prescription right every time. At these prices, I always have 2 pair so if one pair gets damaged or scratched, I always have another pair on hand.

I have 4 pairs from Zenni and can't complain about any of them. They are about 20% the cost of brick and mortar eyeglass stores with no discernable differences in quality. I've probably converted at least 10 others. The price makes it worth trying for even the most skeptical buyer.

Zennis are meant to serve as backup glasses only, not your primary pair.

I've been getting my glasses from Zenni for 10 yrs and always love them. They are so affordable you can get a more than one pair for different options. By the way, yours look great on you 👍😀

Funny I was just thinking about this..saw another site advertised on TV. My daughter just trashed my nearly 200.00 pair from eye doctor so I thought I was going back tot he CVS pair. I will try these guys out.

They're actually pretty nice glasses! I got all the add-ons and it was all still less than $80. Make sure your PD is correct - they'll usually measure it for you at the eye doc.
