I feel like the lockpicking thing really depends on the person, and how they approach it. I'm a beginner hobbyist at it myself, having gotten hooked on a particular RU-vid channel that picks locks and sells their own equipment. If I were to offer to pick a lock for someone, I'd at least discuss it with them before any tools come out, and if I were dating someone I'd make sure they'd know about the hobby well before I'd offer to do this. TBH I'd be more interested in helping them find their lost keys because that's such a dang pain.

I am a man and would think someone lockpicking my door on a second date would be hot. I've worked as an all-round handyman for a few years and opened a decent amount of locked doors where you afterwards only need to replace the cilinder. (The part in the door where the key goes.) I do not see any way this would be cool to do for me on a second date. I Imagine seeing someone remove a front door lock, without much noise, within a few minutes would be quite anxiety inducing if you never really thought about breaking and entering. (Windows are not that break resistant.) Craig Frost has also had some cool experiences with Darren Brown. Might be fun to have him on as a guest sometime.

I don't love the idea that this person who I'm on a second date with can let themselves into my house whenever they want lol. Of course, you'd want to hope you'd be dating someone who respected boundaries, but I'd still always be paranoid knowing they could enter my space whenever they want. Imagine having a bad breakup! It becomes multiple times more scary

Lock picking is just cool regardless. It's not hot though.
