Oh Chloé, I had a rather tough week, and seeing you with my tea and hearing those nice words made me smile!! I'm thinking of you very often and hope to see you soon again
For recipe books i think a good idea is always the ‘4 ingredient’ or ‘5 ingredient’ ones (where no recipe has more than 4-5 ingredients. So many recipe books have long lists of obscure ingredients that cost a lot and take ages to make. Great list - I’ve been struggling this year to think of gifts, and this gave me some ideas.
Many asians got it down in this way, i used to think cash was unpersonable, but now that I have various stuff and I have to classify stuff not to just go to waste. Best gifts cash or transfer the money so you can decide what to do, an experience either invite to a restaurant and so on, plants, food that you know this person reallly eats, and would be cool to normalize asking for maybe even groceries even if this groceries aren't necessarily the most zero waste but that you now that person will use.
Thank you!! Something I did this year was read a how to for drawing an elephant (a family member loves them) I drew it, outlined it, and painted it Got a used picture frame and put the painting inside as a Christmas gift
Thank you very much for those lovely ideas, the homemade tea is something I'll try for sure! There is a gift I plan to offer to my cousins is a "one line a day" journal. It's a 5 years long journal a'd I think it's a wonderful gift!
I make cookie dough instead of just giving cookies. This cookie dough can be frozen for months, so after they've gotten through the other Christmas cookies, they can grab my dough from the freezer and bake it whenever they feel like fresh cookies. For people who don't have a sweettooth I make my own spice blend for them.
Thanx for all the clever ideas for Christmas gifts! Such a good feeling when giving well thought out and hand made items - especially made for the recipients! Have a great holiday Chloe and David! XOXOXO
Thanks for these! ^_^ My sister gave me (and the rest of the family) last year a piece of paper with donations she had made to organisations using our names, instead of giving us something materialistic or so. Like each one of us helped a different organisation. I thought it was really nice and cute! :)
thank you for this!! 😍 loved it and definitely gonna follow some suggestions 🤗 lets have a green Christmas 💚🤍 if my friends are seeing this, I accept plants 💚
I love plants, I have about 150 of them but I wouldn't consider it a sustainable gift. plants are produced with lots of energy, fertilizer and often far away. Of course cuttings from a plant that you already have is great. But especially in the winter now it may die in transport, if you go for a plant or someone transports their present. so just be mindful :)
Thank you for a video, your channel inspires me a lot! But I think that to gift a plant is a very bad idea. It means to gift an obligation to a person who maybe don’t like to take care about plants. It’s like to gift an animal. It has sense only if you are absolutely sure that a friend likes it.
What about seedbombs with wildflowers if someone has a garden and likes plants but has a lot indoors already...or a little kitchengarden with fresh herbs
I don't want to sound too negative, but am I the only person who hates Christmas and everything to do with it? I guess I must be a descendant of the English Puritans, who in 1647 abolished Christmas, then not long after chopped off the head of King Charles 1st !
