Zhiyun Crane 3S Review w/ Sony A7III - Who should get one?

@@visualpablogarcia No. That was the least of my problems. The gimbal malfunctioned right in the middle of a paid video shoot. The power button gave me the "red light of death" and goes into sleep mode. It won't update firmware, nothing. It wasn't a motor or firmware. Seems that this particular issue is an ongoing problem with the Crane 3s. I have no choice but to return it to Zyihun for exchange. All American companies have severed service ties with Zyihun. Including Best Buy, where I bought it. Note to self. I'll never buy from Best Buy again. If you find a solution, let me know. I suspect it's the camera's firmware but that's just a guess. The A73 will work just fine but not the A7S3. Yet the A7S3 is on the Zhiyun Crane 3s compatibility list. It's really sad to spend so much money for top equipment and not one damned RU-vid influencer, hustler out there has the balls to discuss the problem or a solution, or they fear they'll lose access to free products to review. In the interim, if I find a solution, I'll let you know. Wish me luck. Oh and by the way, this video was one of the reasons why I bought the A7S3 and Crane 3s Pro. What a chump I was to discover that it won't sync or even communicate with the Crane 3s Pro.

@@ToddMcDurmont I'm sorry to hear about your negative experience, but I am not sure what could I have done to prevent that. The title of this video clearly says review with A7 III, I have made this video long before I got the A7S III, so I obviously wasn't able to test the compatibility with A7S III.

@@TheHybridShooter I wasn't implying anything toward you at all. Actually it's a very good and informative video and before the A7S3. I was just hoping that someone here would have an answer to my particular issue.

@@visualpablogarcia no I was not able to solve it. I tried this gimbal with the Sony a6600 and the gimbals record button worked right away without problem. However I'm using the A7sIII and need this gimbal to work with that camera. But how?

I have ordered the Ronin S2, so I will compare it with that one. For X-T4 I recommend Weebill S. Dober dan is Slovenian BTW, it is Dobry den in Slovak language :)

No, I don’t recommend using remote controls anyway.

It is compatible, only exposure settings won't work, but I don't recommend using them anyway.

I didn’t use any cable, using buttons on the camera is much more convenient.

It was shot at F8, ISO100 and 1/50s. I was managing exposure using variable ND filters.

It appears that a lot of the viral travel videos are at f8-f10 and they have that floaty "digital stabilisation" look which people seem to like nowadays, and the shutter rule is not followed at all. I went completely overboard with a7iii + 24-70gmaster, (+ ronins S), I see now I should have just gotten 16-35 f4 which has oss. But frankly, it looks like I will be using mostly osmo action.

You're welcome! Not really, longer focal lengths are also being used a lot on the gimbals, especially in music videos, weddings and stuff like that. 50mm is very common for example.
