Zillennials should be recognized. Because it was stupid and unfair to define that the person born in 1996 is not generation z but generation y, because generation z were children in the 2000s and teenagers in the 2010s, while millennials were children in the 1990s and teenagers in the 2000s. But as one being born in 1996, my teenage years weren't 2000-2009 but 2009-2015, when the quick breakthrough of social medias and touchscreen smartphones took place. Therefore, zillenials, or "generation zero" as The Coca Cola Company called it in their 2014 research report, should be the real and accepted transitional and micro-generation between y and z.

Same as you, but I was born at the end of 95. The majority of my teenage years were in the 2010s, not the 2000s. I graduated from elementary school back in 2008

Hmm I disagree. A majority of Gen z grew up in the 2010s, not the 2000s. And by the 2010s we were already teens/early 20s. So our upbringing is different from a gen Z born in like 2005.

I’d want it recognized to. I was born in LATE 1994. I wasn’t in school in the 90s because I was too busy being a newborn/infant/toddler. My first school year _(kindergarten)_ was class of 2000 and i graduated my last year of college at age 21 in 2016 My husband is also considered a Millennial as well and he already graduated from high school in 1999 before I had even started elementary school in yet I’m expected to think of us as the same generation??? My experience isn’t anything like a millennial who actually experienced their teens, preteens or even elementary school experience in the 90s

I definition consider people born in 2001 part of this generation, because i was born in 2001 and still have clear memory of the 2000s and came off of age and graduate before covid!!!! People born in 2002-and on seem more Gen Z and different then us.

They make me laugh at the people in the comments who think that this micro generation ends with people born in 1999 I was born in January 2000 and I definitely consider myself a Zillennials, people born in 2000 like me were born in the 20th century, everyone born in the 90s is older than us and everyone born in the 2000s is older young as we are, my first memories are from 2003 so the beginning of the 2000s, the fashion of the late 90s was still there. We also experienced September 11, 2001, we were alive at that time. We reached the age of majority in 2018, so before the confinement period I have been around people born in 1999-2001 since my earliest childhood and frankly I see no difference, they clearly had the same childhood. I was born in 2000, so I'm very well placed to speak, it makes me laugh when I see people born in 1991 who come to talk thinking they know everything about our childhood when they didn't grow up during the same period. . that we On the other hand, I see a huge gap in experience with people born in 1994 or a little before and who were in primary school when we were born. For me this micro generation should only concern people born between 1997 and 2002

As a late 2001, I don’t see a big difference between me and 2002 kids. In fact, a majority of my classmates were born in 2002. I was born a month after 9/11. Where I live and in many other places, people born from September-December are required to start school a year later than our January-August counterparts, so we are mostly in the grade with kids born the next year. I was class of 2020 and covid hit during my senior year and ruined the last two months of my senior year, the most important parts of being a senior. My classmates were born September 2, 2001-August 31,2002. 2004 on the other hand is a completely different breed and are way different from us. 2003 is kinda in between

I see it as you are a millennial if you can remember the turn of the new millennium. It’s a mix between the 2 for sure. Ok I’m sorry but there’s a MAJOR difference between someone born in 92 and someone born in 02. I’m not sure we can lump them together. If you were born in 92(I was born in 94) we were old enough to remember 9/11 and the invasion of Iraq, dial up internet, cell phones being a new thing, DVD’s coming out, the birth of Facebook and Twitter, Obama being inaugurated etc etc etc. Kids born in the early 90’s got a taste of life without always having technology and soon evolved into what it is now. I think that generation of kids 92-97? Really have a unique perspective. And yes, we came out in droves during the last election….bc we’re old enough to remember policies and tenure of Clinton, Bush and Obama…..don’t count us out.

Both 2000 & 2001 kids were in the same year group as each other in school and they were both in school in the same time period as the kids born in the 90s/ had pretty the same childhood experiences being that they both grew up in the 2000s/2010s and were in college during the pandemic.

Zillennials (also known as Zennials) is the demographic cohort on the cusp of the millennial and Generation Z cohorts. Their adjacency between the two generations and limited age grade has led to their characterization as a "micro-generation." They are generally the children of the members of Generation Jones and Generation X. Estimates of the U.S. population in this cohort range from 30 million to 48 million.[ In infancy or early childhood during the September 11th terrorist attacks they were the first cohort to experience adolescence in a post-9/11 world. The majority of this cohort came of age during the 2010s, with the U.K. Brexit referendum and U.S. presidential election of 2016 and COVID-19 pandemic being key formative events.Zillennials experienced the Digital Revolution of the 2000s and 2010s, navigating mobile LTE internet, cell phones, mobile devices and smartphones. Zillennials code-switch between generations, have high levels of digital literacy, and are more likely to self-identify into a minority group. Zillennials are less wealthy but more economically secure than Generation Z, commanding relatively high spending power in the U.S. economy, especially when compared to millennials. They have high brand loyalty, low price sensitivity, and stable purchasing patterns. Their outlook on their economic prospects was shaped by the decade's period of instability such as the Great Recession of the late 2000s and the COVID-19 pandemic of late 2010s and early 2020s. Experiencing the effect of these crises on their parents, siblings, and others informed their outlook later on in life. Patrice Peck, writing for Cosmopolitan, stated that zillennials were between the ages of 18 and 29 during the 2020 United States elections, and were the "key to ousting then-president Donald Trump and sending Joe Biden and Kamala Harris to the White House."Glamour UK noted their general political outlook as more socialist than millennials. The U.K. Brexit referendum and U.S. presidential election, both occurring in 2016, are seen as key formative political events by zillennials Zillennials are less likely than Generation Z to use digital means, such as text messaging and dating apps, to connect with a romantic partners. They are considered socially and emotionally intelligent. They are nostalgic for the 1990s and 2000s for the perceived allure of the 1990s U.S. economic boom and 2000s digital revolution, as is Generation Z Millennials/Generation Z Main article: Zillennials Date ranges 1990-2000 as identified by Avery Hartmans, writing for Business Insider USA 1992-1998 as identified by Ubl, Walden, and Arbit, WGSN, Vogue,[ Mary Everett, writing for PopSugar 1992-2000 as identified by Ketchum 1993-1998 as identified by Smit, Maisy Farren, writing for Vice, Lindsay Dogson, writing for Business Insider Mexico, and Metlife 1993-1999 as identified by Fullscreen, LLC 1995-2000 as identified by Donahue 1992-2002 as identified by Deborah Carr

@Thechosen1000
@Thechosen1000 8 месяцев назад
@@michaelsevilla3697 I dont agree. I've seen websites and a study from a college professor who defines Zillenials as the kids born in the mid-90s to the early 2000s. It makes perfect sense for early 2000s kids to be included from my previous examples. That's because those kids were born in 2000s doesn't automatically make them irrelevant because the kids born in the mid to late 90s either have very little memory of the 90s decade or have no memory of it whatsoever. Zillenials are basically the youngest group of Millenials & the oldest group of Gen Zs. In other words, 2000s kids. Which is exactly what the mid to late 90s kids are since their earliest memories are the 2000s, just like the kids who were born in the very early 2000s. Like I said before, the kids born in the late 90s & early 2000s grew up together, being that they were children, teenagers, and adults around the same time period. So it wouldn't make sense for early 2000s kids not to be group with the late 90s kids in the definition of Zillenials. Even if the early 2000s kids were born in a different century, there are too many similarities and connections to the late 90s kids for them not to be included. At the end of the day, Zillenials are the kids who were young but old enough to experience & remember older technology from the 90s still being somewhat relevant but at the end of its life cycle. as well as witnessing the new age of technology rapidly evolving. E.g. Remember the transition from the nokia's to the flip phones leading up to the birth of the very first iPhone. And early 2000s kids, especially 2000-2002, still fit that definition✌️
