The pages are locked away
In the ink and paper's journey
Are fragments of a world that used to be,
inside of my journal.
Written notes, and scraps of thought.
Things I thought were great that turned to naught.
Moments of laughter, The tears I fought,
Ah tapestry of lessons that life has taught.
Anyway, it doesn't matter at all.
The pages are locked and the key's with me
In my heart, these secrets scatter,

They're forever free.
