Good one Dietmar. Thank you for pointing me to this video. The Sessantanni from San Marzano brought me to the Primitivos (sells around € 17,- per bottle in Germany just like your 62). Very smooth and delicious.

Great video D! Enjoyed the enthusiasm and passion...sorry about the wine glass...it was sacrificed for a good cause! My favorite grape varietal is Zin as is my dad's. Being in California ourselves we've enjoyed many great wines and zins. Our favorite Zins come out of Paso Robles where we visit yearly (except last year). I have many in the cellar. Lodi (pronounced Loh-Dye) is another nice region for Zin as the other regions you mentioned (in CA). One under the radar region in CA is the Sierra Foothills for Zin. Anyway, again, great video and looking forward to your next one. Keep up the great work!

I look forward to your videos every week. You really made this last year so much better. Just did a tasting in Lodi last weekend. The zins were so good - big fruit - no tannins. Lodi zin and Pietro's pappardelle and oxtail ragu - AMAZING. Fun trip to start a summer of in-person wine tasting.

I love your videos....you are awesome. I actually live in Lodi....it's actually pronounced Lod- I .... I'm sure you are familiar with the credence clear water revival song, stuck in Lodi again, that is how you pronounce the name of the town. We have sooooooo much wine here. Of you ever come visit, make sure you heard to the ( wine & roses) it's a hotel, restaurant and the Lodi wine commission visitor center. We would love to have you here.

I can drink Rombauer Zinfandel all day long. It is a personal favorite, and I would be hesitant to pour any of it away as it violates vineyard laws. I am glad you like it too. I never had the Old Ghost but will try along with the 62. Thanks for suggesting them. 🍷

What's your opinion of that Ravenswood Zin you have sitting on the counter? I really enjoyed your explanation of the Zinfandel background information. Also, nice job continuing on when the glass broke. I would've had to stop the video haha.
