Blog Post with written instructions and other sizes: melaniekham.com/zippered-box-...
This video shows you how to make a zippered box pouch with no raw edges. This is similar to my original box pouch video, but this one does NOT have exposed seams. I love both of these and they are both great for beginner sewers because they are free sewing patterns and are considered confident beginner easy sewing projects. Check out the other box bag pattern sizes at the blog post.

To the family of Melaine. I’m new at sewing. , my mom used to sew all the time as I was growing up. When I was in Boy Scouts, my mom taught me how to sew all of my badges on my uniform and sash. Never did I think I would ever be able to make what Melanie taught me online via her videos. Thank you to all the family for allowing all of us beginners the opportunity, to learning, beginning, sewing from Melanie videos. My thoughts and prayers are with the all of family.

My jaw literally dropped open when you gave the tip about moving the needle to the left to line up with the 3/8" mark. Absolutely brilliant. Love how the bag turned out, and also thank you for having both the video & the link to your blog with the written instructions. Hopefully with the two combined I'll be able to actually make this :-) EDIT - Oh, no I just read that Melanie passed away about a year ago. Such a shame - she was so young. Grateful that her videos are still available (and yes, I made the pouch 🙂).

Melanie,I’m Sory to have waited so long to come back here.I couldn’t bare to look at you, without crying. I don’t know why it hit me so hard. I loved you from the beginning of the first video I watched, and learned how to make a baby blanket. It really was so easy to make. So, I made two of them for my great grandchildren two boys. I was so proud to have made them, because you showed me how easy it was to make the stitch. I miss you dearly. Such a wonderful woman you were. You had everything going for you, you’re personality, beautiful lady. Inside and out. There was something very special about you. You’re talent exceed’s mine, and I’m old. I haven’t crochet since you left us to be with GOD. Hoping you’re pain has sufficed. It’s true that GOD only takes the good one’s first. HE needed an angel and dear that was you. I wish you peace., and I miss you. I hope this is ok to write this, if it even made any sense. I apologize in advance. I hope that you’re children and you’re husband are doing better these days. Thank you Mr. Ham for getting me to look back . Please take care.😢🥰🤗 Xox.

I really love them - she explains everything well and she also makes sure that you know what to look for and how to relax when it comes to being perfect at quilting. Yesterday I watched the film her husband made about her story and her passing. She was so brave and so strong - what a wonderful person. Just completed this project and by far, this is the best tutorial I have come across. I am a self-taught beginner, so my bag was not perfect; however, my second attempt was beautiful! Thank you for all the helpful hints and tricks.

kismet that I'm here so that I can make a set of the bags for my aunt who was recently diagnosed with cancer. I love these bags so much, and miss Melanie's tutorials! She made everything seem like something even a novice could do!
