Did you know that this Gravity Group wooden coaster is a clone of and named after Elvis Presley's favorite roller coaster? The original Zippin Pippin was located at Libertyland in Memphis, Tennessee, which closed in 2005. The original was sold for $2,500 at auction to Robert Reynolds and Stephen Shutts, who own a traveling museum called the Honky Tonk Hall of Fame & Rock-N-Roll Roadshow.
This one also uses the trains and some of the mechanical hardware from the former Thunder Eagle coaster at Race World in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, which closed in 2001. Best of all, it only coasts $1 to ride.
