wouldn't only having your shaped maps for reds really fuck up any atlas objectives? I would think they would just spawn on the uncompleted maps far too often, unless you're opting for just ignoring them all.
You've gotta love Ziz! I can't get" enough of his drop sounds too. Everytime an exalt has dropped for me it goes "UUUUUUUNDISPUTED!!! BEST AXE IN THE GAME!!"
Did he just say the +2 of the atlas bonus only applies to bosses? I think he explained that horribly.. If you're running a tier 10 map and a tier 10 map is going to drop from a white creep, he is right. It cannot roll up, where it can from the boss. If you're running a tier 10 map and a tier 6 map is going to drop from a white creep, it can drop as a tier 8. It just can't roll a higher tier than the map you're running. Sustaining will always be made easier by having a high atlas completion, simply because most of the maps that drop will be of a lower tier, and you're always guaranteed that they roll 1 tier closer to whatever you're running if you're at 100%+, which is why when you pass 100 completion, tier 1 maps can no longer drop, besides from prophecies. I think that was what he was trying to say, but ziz always explaining stuff weird. Can't read and can't explain stuff haha
Yeah this video was very confusing to me. Why would it be better to not complete the atlas? Do I want lower tier maps to drop? Edit: also what does he mean by removing a map? I didn't get that either.
I have over 2.5k hours in the game and this shit still doesn't make sense to me, I just the run the maps aimlessly and hope it works out. I do appreciate the content you put out though!
Hey Ziz, I would like a guide to use yours filtering, not how to install it, but when to transition and what do you really do with your dropped stuff on each level, what would be the mid and late game to change the filter and what should I pay more attention depending on what I'm levelling (If I'm leveling a melee, I'd probably ignore the bows, right?) and so on... tyvm for this Atlas video!
Also, what are you giving up with your filter setup, if there are any rng divinations cards that are so unusual to get a good thing that you're not even picking it up an so
Hey Ziz, is it common to shape as many tiers as u can, or if u just really wanted to pick one map to farm, lets say channel, you'd only shape that one right?
Actual tip for new players - don't shape earlier tier maps, they only pollute the pool of maps that drop, so it's a bit harder to chase shaper/elder if you start turning t1-2-3-4 into 6-7-8-9.

getting elder to spawn in a red map should be very hard if u only have like a couple of red maps, also u cant ever sell high maps or get to shaper urself. idk if thats a good strat.
You can still get shaper. You just use harby orbs to get a guardian map. But yeah - if you want to farm elder you'd do that after your initial mapping push probably,
i just want to kill shaper one time to do the quest line for t16 orb, not sure how that works when u dont have ur red maps (cuz for quest line u need a red elder) and u need to kill all 4 shaper guardians too. ill guess u just have to invest alot in some maps than, like buying 4 shaper guardian maps. maybe it isnt as bad is im thinking right now but i kinda wanna get the questline done fast at least the shaper one.
I'm coming here from the Synthesis Flashback Recap video. And I don't understand how you have 5 sextant without finish your red map bonus, 4 are possible with uber elder (and a lot of pain if you don't want to have too much red maps) but the 5th one i don't realy understand.
So at the start of the league for pushing uber elder in order to get the 4 total sextants do you complete all atlas bonus's in order to spawn uber elder for the questline and then uncomplete them? Im a little confused then how you would get the 4th sextant Edit: Jk you answered it in the video which I paused to write this question lol
i think you could just buy the four fragments, that drop when you kill the t16-bosses, needed from other players. It's those frags that opens the portal to Shaper's realm when inserted into the map device. They sell for quite a bit though, in standard about 10c each, so it's an expensive alternative. and i could be wrong, need to test it myself sometime.
@Zizaran How it works if u are not doing any 11/12/13/14/15/16 how u gonna get Elder Orb to shape choosen map to tier 16? How u gonna level up to 100? and if its worth to run Only Burial chambers til the end of game? and yea so doing all content 159 maps is not worth it?
Once you complete a map, you always have the option of removing it from your pool. You have to do an expensive vendor recipe that removes the completion so the map shouldn't drop anymore. I can't remember it off the top of my head, but you can look it up under vendor recipes in the POE wiki.
Can someone help me please ? If i uncomplete all red tiers and i have only shaped red maps, am i still able to spawn Ubber Elder ? Sorry if i have missed something, im kinda new to the game.
iirc you get max of 1 by default, you get 1 more for doing all zana quests (uber elder), and 1 more for completing all maps of each color so that's 5 total
I'm kinda lost at the elder stuff. So, if I'm right, it's about getting the red shaper orbs: It is problematic because I don't want to have any red tier maps unlocked, only shaped maps for the reasons mentioned. But red orbs only drop from red maps, so what I need to do is to unlock a T11 red map, let elder touch it and spawn on it, and then the guardians spawned on yellow maps will also be T11, so they can drop T8, T9, T10 shaper orbs. When I got all of the red orbs, I need to remove the red map to maintain the supply of shaped maps only. Am I missing something?
But if I want to elder a map to tier 16 I need to kill shaper right? Like in the video he said that he didn't complete maps above tier 11/12, so he didn't have a tier 16 map. Correct me if I'm wrong please!
you can find maps that: -you've completed -are adjacent to the map you're currently in So if you do moon temple you'll get palaces and desert springs note that if you do shaped moon temples, you can still get palaces and desert springs, you just don't really care because those are t11s and you're doing t15s
you lost me after 5minutes :/ so How do I get out of the loop f only getting low tier maps? Last season I had like 5 lvl 12 maps and then got back to lvl 3-5 maps. how can I sustain/or improve getting higher maps
Well, you should alch your maps to make them rare at any tier. Also, if you're really struggling to maintain or rise up in tiers you should milk the maps you do run, meaning; open chests, destroy breakable stuff like vases etc. and clearing the entire map. Remember to be efficient as possible too, if clearing the whole map means you have to run back for 1 minute for that last remaining pack of 20 monsters, don't. Move on. Also, when you have currency you can always buy the maps you still need to run and sell the ones you've completed.. this will make sure you will get higher % of higher maps dropping making it easier to sustain those higher maps. The biggest hurdle to me is investment, the more you spend on maps the more your going to get back in the big picture, by red maps alching and corrupting should be your go too, there's some great guides on corrupting maps and what to look for. If you want to run a single map get a good shape strategy, ie copy how a streamer or someone shaped theirs, so you can isolate the map. If you just want to farm whatever go for it fill your maps and when you get a ton of lower maps check their value and combine maps you don't want to bother selling for higher maps.
Listen to me, start grind the same tier before continuing on the next tier. Simply example here (reference with new Atlas): you do tier 1 cursed crypt then you finish dungeon tier 2. Oh now you found another tier 1 iceberg and you decide to do that. The chance of dropping dungeon and ramparts is now equal. Which means it's difficult to grind tiers because you may not get a locked next tier map. If you complete all tier 1 maps first followed by tier 2, now you have a better chance to acquire all tier 2s before you start grind next tier up.
My problem is i can't pass t7. I will be playing my fourth character in the game but i always stopped playing after unlocking t6. Maps just won't drop.
Make sure to always BONUS complete the maps to get a better chance for higher tier maps. Other content like Delve and Incursion (last league) can give you lots of maps as well. Apart from that you just need to run enough maps and eventually you'll progress.
Build up a strong base while you level up. Some blood aqueduct farming will do the trick but it is all rng. Save your alchs. Alch your maps. All of them. From tier 1. That alone makes a HUGE difference. Run the ones that you need to in order to progress. Make clever use of Zana and the atlas mechanics(you can "sidegrade" now, just like the 3 to 1 method). She resets her inventory if you complete her daily atlas mission. Don't take her reward maps until you know which one you need. Edit: Orb of binding works as an alchemy orb on maps. If you run out of alchemy orbs(I sometimes do on SSF) you can always buy them for 1 regret at vendors in town.
it increases tier of the map by 5, so if you shape tier1 Iceberg, then it becomes tier 6 Shaped Iceberg and so on .. also note that, any Iceberg you dropped prior to shaping stays as tier 1 and after shaping you can't drop tier 1 Iceberg, only tier 6 shaped version etc.
if you shape strand (t2) it removes strand from the t2 map pool and it adds shaped strand (t7) to the t7 map pool this means when you find a t2 map it can't be strand and when you find a t7 it can be shaped strand it doesn't make your t2 strand become t7, it doesn't mean you drop less t2s and more t7s
Just my opinion but having a mid video ad that starts off yelling and showing a bunch of chicks in bikinis really takes away from the contents. Also scared the crap out of me lol.
i love your content, there is literaly no streamer going for this content every single league, but i really hate how you explain things. its like you dont know what to say for half a time and that is really anoying
