Great review, and I totally share your positive thoughts on this. Now, I did not enjoy Escape: Curse of the temple, which felt fiddly and not that very engaging to me... Also, you did not care or had time to care what others did in their turns. In Zombie 15, things are simple, elegant and works great - I feel like the looked at Escape, and fixed it :-) Having players do their actions one player at a time works very good, with no downtime and no mistakes or "cheating" possible, because of your buddies helping keeping track of stuff. Two big thumbs up, Yello!
Possibly the only zombie game I have considered at all. I am NOT a fan of zombie themed anything but I could play this possibly. However the age of the players being 15 does not make any thematic sense to me and I find that silly.
You said it, I also thought the sound track just ending wasn't very good either. I thought you should hear a scream "the scream would be the end" then maybe hearing them biting and eating or something. You may be right, but I thought even though your weapon is all used up and cannot be used to kill, the fend off "stopping power" was still valid?
You are correct, I should have been more clear. I only meant the weapon in question could no longer be used to attack. But since you can't move without killing zombies in your area, it's very likely you will have to give it up in favor of a new weapon. Despite having a great defense.
Sorry, late to the party here, but just wanted your quick thoughts... If you were to introduce non-gamers who love zombies/walking dead to a zombie board game, would you go with this or Zombicide or Last Night on Earth?
Okay lets see, yet another zombie game with the same old mechanics and high end miniatures to drive sales using outdated technology for forced tension. Yep, a pass for me.
