Staying up 'til 2:00 a.m. on a school night, knowing you are only going to get 5 hours of sleep. I hate it when that happens, but it somehow happens a lot.
My father is currently at war and when he came to rest, the first song he turned on was this even though I’m from Russia and I’m writing this comment through a translator. It’s a very cool song, it gives me goosebumps.
She's singing sean-nós! She's also keening, a traditional Gaelic way of mourning the dead. It's fitting since the song is about the Troubles and the people who died during it.
this song makes me cry so much cause my uncle passed away a month and a half ago and this was his favorite song and im just sitting here relizeing what the lyrics mean
What makes this song so good is the true feeling, The singer has experienced the horrors she is singing about. You can hear her pain through each word she sings. Hauntingly beautiful.
for anyone who wants to know the lyrics Another head hangs lowly Child is slowly taken And the violence caused such silence Who are we mistaken? But you see, it's not me, it's not my family In your head, in your head they are fighting With their tanks, and their bombs, and their bombs, and their guns In your head, in your head they are crying In your head, in your head Zombie, zombie, zombie-ie-ie What's in your head? In your head? Zombie, zombie, zombie-ie-ie-ie, oh Another mother's breaking Heart is taking over When the violence causes silence We must be mistaken It's the same old theme, since nineteen-sixteen In your head, in your head they're still fighting With their tanks, and their bombs, and their bombs, and their guns In your head, in your head they are dying In your head, in your head Zombie, zombie, zombie-ie-ie What's in your head? In your head? Zombie, zombie, zombie-ie-ie-ie, oh Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh, eh-eh-oh, ra-ra
Rest in peace, Delores, we love you and hope you are well where you are. Your music will always be cherished and held dear to mine and my family's heart. We miss you and your unique, wonderful voice. 🌻✨🌙
Listening to this with headphones is surreal. I've never even heard of this song, or whoever sings it. I just saw this as suggested and holy hell, I'm on another planet. Oh, I just realized into the song is the iconic 'what's in your head' wow this is. Beautiful. This video is a fucking blessing
This song is about a child dying in a IRA bombing, while critical of the IRA it is not pro-British rule or anti Free Ireland, more so statement that they do not agree with the IRA's methods This is what I have gathered from the lyrics, this may not be correct, but it is about the IRA and the bombing
@Read SIEGE Well people really ought to make that distinction more clear, there a big difference between wanting independence and being a bunch of fanatical terrorists

Please do ur research on the meaning of the song because as someone who has had to live in the shadow concequences of the troubles, its really scary to think its misenterpreted sooooo much so plz be respectful of all communities cause the cranberriea didnt aim it at one particular paramilitary group, it was pointed to all the causes of destruction including the average people of NI. Thankyou xx
@@humansmayglow if i hear one more child who thinks they have “depression“ because they think wearing mascara as musty, crusty dusty black lipstick, say they relate to the edgy feel to the song... hmmmmm
@@rebeccabrady8915 Yeah, that kind of crap is just awful. I've never fought in a war because I don't think I could handle that, but I was directly affected when I was younger by someone who had been in a war. They weren't mentally well, at all. I use this song to cope with that and try to forgive them, but it sucks when people try to say "oH tHiS sPeaKs tO mY dArk soUl" and they fake depression. It's a real mental illness and not something to try to relate to.
As an Irish person who lives in a county south of the border with my parents growing up during the war in Northern Ireland, this hits hard, especially when slowed for some reason
From NI this song really is perfect for the troubles and how we grew up because of it. Its still right at the surface im always worried we'll end up back there
i forgot about this song and my friend sent me a video of her singing it and i couldnt wait to search a slowed version and now here i am blessing my ears.
this is perfect honestly the vocals and guitar really really take it well and the song itself is amazing in it's own right of course I don't remember the first time I heard this song but it's high up there in the list of my favorites
This song is about the Troubles (1968-1998) in which the British Army had to put down a three decade long ethno-nationalist movement known as the IRA (Irish Republican Army) and it's in respect to all those who lost their lives.
@@atagosraven2267 the way you described this is so ill informed, the British army originally came to protect Catholics from the Protestant paramilitaries but decided to hunt the Ira and turned against innocent catholics

the intro is just so 🔥,imagine if the "Zombie apocalypse" did happen and this song is on repeat( if that's possible tho ,ya know electricity 🤣) we'll be on killing spree 🤣🤣🤣

@@atagosraven2267 thanks for the info,I know that it wasn't really about apocalypse or something 🤣 well ,I do thought when I was a kid but growing up listening to it again, makes me realize,it wasn't about zombies 🤣 geez ,sorry just talking non sense 😅
let the feeling flow inside you death is such a painful tragedy but I hope it will get better for you with time I'm sure your heart is full of great memories you've made with Luna and I am sure that she became an inherent part of you sending peace

as a british loyalist this song makes me think, i am proud of our empire but the evil things we did can’t be overlooked, i’ve loved this song before i found out what it was about, and i’ve always been loyal abs patriotic to the UK, and it hasn’t put me off one bit, i’m happy there’s peace between the two nations now.
@@James_-ej1cc finally someone who is proud of a rich culture and history you deserve to be proud of and doesnt just either say "eh who cares" or act all crazy "omg omg im so sorry for things i dint even do myself". sincerely, an indian.
