I'm so glad I found your channel. I'm an old lady now, but my whole life I wanted to be an OTR driver. I especially love when you go on smaller roads and thru small towns. My father was a traveling salesman so I think it's in my blood.
I’m sorry you never got a chance to drive OTR. I think you would have loved it. Especially back in those days. So much fun. It’s not that fun anymore out here. Thank you so much for watching. One of the coolest areas I have seen this far (if I remember correctly) is out in Wyoming before you get to Utah, everything is a golden color, that was decently cool to see. Thanks for taking us along on your dirt road tours of the states man 😂😂 I thought for sure you were gonna sink it when you hit the low level area of that first one, glad you made it through ok though man !
I couldn’t feel my legs going over those 😂😂 I was really scared that I would get stuck. But you just gotta keep going and make sure that you don’t stop there. Otherwise you won’t be able to move.
You are correct. I knew there was fire in Texas but I just thought the sky was like that because of all the dust that’s been picked up by the wind. Hopefully that rain earlier in the video helped with fires.

I think someone mentioned that sky was like that from wild fires they had here in Texas but I’m not sure if it was because of that. But it sure looked creepy to me.
The trucking industry is way different now than ever before . driver's leaving companies within weeks of employment. Companies hiring drivers with very little experience .new drivers think they want to drive until they get out there, then there, like, i dont want to do this.
It’s getting worse and worse every year out here. And they are talking about giving licenses to drive semi trucks to 18 year olds. Which I think is a terrible idea.

Hello from Canada !!! I drive a 2006 classic !! Had a Mercedes engine in it from factory !! Kept puking head gaskets !! Ended up putting a 98 60 series in this thang !! Question is you get descent fuel milage ??? I don’t even think I’m getting 6 mpg !! I’m running 22.5 rubber n a 13 over !!! Thinking about putting in a set of 355 rears to lower the rpm n maybe get the milage up !! Your thoughts ???
Hello there. I’ve had 3 trucks with Detroit 60 and they all get about the same MPG. And all 3 were specked the same. 13 speed transmission with 355 rears. This one that I have right now has 24.5 tires on it. I think changing rears might help but there are other factors that affect the MPG as you know. Load weight, what road you drive, how fast you drive and so on. I would definitely change the rears though if you can find some that are priced properly.

Love how you get off of the interstates and take the scenic routes. Reminds me of me when I travel. Glad you identified that crappy road in KS cause I thought you must have been on I-95 in SC, Colleton County. Worst damn road in the country! I suspect the Murdaughs were skimming the DOT funds for years cause the sections north and south of Colleton Co. are okay so really strange. I once saw a semi in the right hand lane fall into a crater on that road. Looked like the driver hit his head on the ceiling of the cab. Safe travels!
I haven’t been that way in a while but to me, Indiana has the worst roads I’ve ever been on. If you’re not paying attention while driving through Indiana, you will definitely blow your steer tire on one of those huge potholes.
@@OTRBandit Only been through Indiana one time but I’m on I-95 between FL and NC quite a bit pulling my travel trailer. Road in SC sucks. Inside of trailer looks like a hurricane went through once I reach my destination.

Holy Shit, there was'nt not one tree when you were driving in that vast open space, if a person was walking in the field during a thunder storm you would get struck by lightning. Thank you for taking us along on another trip.
You know, I've tried not to take up a full space when bobtailing - what happened? I woke up completely surrounded by trucks and no being able to get out - so, I'll take your "asshole" card because I'm not going to be blocked because of inconsiderate jackasses - I could park on the roof of the building and wake up surrounded- not happening anymore....
Picked up at US Gypsum in Enid,OK twice in the late 80st for my customer in Montreal,QC,CDA. Both times, got busted for overweight on the drives on Missourri scales. I know now why you are going to KC by the back doors..LOL!
You definitely nailed it correctly by traveling the lesser used roads and see back roads America. Get something out of driving like seeing towns. Do you find it takes much longer going these roads than the interstate I love back roads anytime I can Get err done
It’s definitely much more relaxing driving on these back roads. It takes little bit longer but it’s worth the extra time especially if I have some time to spare.
Hey buddy great vlog , wind & gravel eh 😢 like you I drive all over ( salesman ) so in a car , had to get a 1.5 diesel because of tax and fuel costs over here ….. I’m paying £6.50 a gallon $8.50 ! and the coffee £3.50 , $4.40 ! so don’t moan about your coffee & gas prices …love your big open roads here it’s just gridlocked and when there’s no traffic there’s a speed cop pointing a camera at you ! Put a bunch of drivers in a room from all over the world and we’d no doubt find something to talk about … Travel safe dude and keep the vlogs coming ……

Prrrrrppp, Yea buddy, thanx for the ride, so I saw about 4 minutes into the start of this video, the white pick up truck towing a utility trailer, sitting and waiting what I thought he was going to make a left turn out of where he was stopped, as you were basically stopped, so you could swing wide to make your right turn onto the street he was on, then the tarped skateboard ( flatbed ) who pulled out onto the road as your traveling the same direction as him. Yes sir, no more respect out there, and no disrespect to anyone who has immigrated into this country LEGALLY, to obtain ( as you are well aware ) a CDL, as the fed's and FMCSA requires, must be able to read write speak english. How is the hell are these jabronies getting the CDL'S. Anyway, at least your new shocks got a work out on the gravel, crappy roads you were on. I appreciate you watching my friend. Somehow they get a visa to come here and they immediately start driving trucks. Allot of places you can go and buy CDL. Anyone can go and look this up if they think I’m messing around. Guy who trained me 18 years ago bought his license in Washington state.
I'm a retired trucker and have heard some rough language, but you my friend take the cake!! You should really try to curb that as much as possible. Just my opinion. Drive safe
