Welcome to my garden! Join me in my labor of love as I further my journey in my zone 9b Northern California home garden. I'm not a professional, just someone who loves it and is only slightly obsessed. Dig, plant, water and repeat!

Everything looks so healthy. You even have snapdragons. I'm in 8b and starting my first cut flower garden this year. I have absolutely no shaded areas to plant in. And I am really fearing our south Texas sun. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Love it! Last year did you start them indoors or direct sow?
@DigPlantWaterRepeat

Thanks Aimee! I started everything indoors last season! I’m sure I could have direct sown but just went with indoor sowing for a bit more control of the seedlings! Thanks for watching! 💗🌸

Can you recommend zone 9 flowering plants that are short / low to ground?

i’m in 9b and got no germination on my direct sowed cool flowers. did you start your bells of ireland indoors?
@DigPlantWaterRepeat
@DigPlantWaterRepeat 2 года назад
I had SO much trouble with direct sown seeds. I direct sowed centurea and bulpleurum. Both came up but very sporadically so I had to transplant some to fill out the area. Bells of Ireland are really difficult for me as well. I have a video I did about pre sprouting bells of Ireland in a wet paper towel. It’s literally the only method that I found works! My plan from now on is just to do all transplants. It just does so much better for me! Hope that all helps!

I’m wondering if you have problems with slugs eating seedlings?
