Tons of great peppers and some really great sauce. We are not hot pepper fans over here, especially that hot, but love them in foods and have been burnt like that before. Maybe just a bit on a burrito or taco seems perfect. Fantastic harvest of some really unique types. Thanks for the share!
Hahaha I don’t know many people who enjoy peppers and sauces as hot as I’ve been liking them the last few years. I’d never recommend anyone eating my sauces unless they’re 100% sure they can handle them. Thanks for the comment UT! Tell Angel I said hi. 😊
I wanted you to know why I subscribed. Stumbled across a video about starting chiltepin plants, Quote " I have a aah , chiltepin habit , that's quite expensive , Unquote
Thanks for letting me know you did! I almost never get notifications about new subscribers. I have a similarly expensive habit! Hopefully you grow some beautiful Chiltepin plants that help to offset some of the cost of your habit!
In my second year here in Tucson and just starting our pepper garden now that we have a yard. Do you have any tips for overwintering the plants with the late February freezes?
Yes, I bring the potted ones into an outbuilding for nights under 40 degrees. If it’s really cold I use a small oil type space heater on low to keep the little building above freezing. I cut back in-ground plants and put a tomato cage around the short, bare branches then stuff the cage with burlap. You can also use garden fence wire to cage them and stuff it with straw. I also make sure there is a very deep layer of straw around the base to protect the roots.
That would be awesome!!! Are you sure you want to drive it that far? Also check this out. I posted it to my other channel. I should have the whole thing up later today. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Nj0yWnuazYw.html
