I think that Dingo balked at A.D.A. self-destructing because he was tied to the frame at the time. He got the impression that she would blow up with _him still in it_ , something he's understandibly reluctant about. No emotional ties to the A.I. at that point - Those come later :) ... And I also loved Ken Marinaris

Dingo's revulsion at the necessity of allowing ADA to die is because of his history. He associates the sacrifice of one's comrades with Nohman orchestrating the deaths of his entire unit, and nearly Dingo himself. Thus he point blank rejects the notion in the strongest terms. He doesn't explicitly spell it out, but its all there in his motives.

Dingo didn't want Ada to self destruct and freaked out the way he did when he found out about this directive was because at that moment he was kept alive by Jehuty and couldn't live without it which means that if it self destructs Dingo would blow the fuck up along with it. Edit: The fist of Mars is a wonderful game and doesn't deserve to be so underrated and unknown.

16:06 I think it makes sense why Dingo would go on a rant though wasnt it at that point in the story that his life was tied to ADA because Ken and co hooked him to Jehuty thus meaning that when ADA has to self destruct on Aumaan subsequently Dingo would also be dying which he didnt know at the time cause it wasnt until just then that Leo told him Jehuty is on a mission to self destruct. I don't think it's a hard stretch for a war solider to care for the safety of their own well-being, I can't recall other moments where Dingo was looking out for ADA either so...

Love this game to death. Finally getting to play it thanks to the MARS ver was just so awesome. Part of me wants to have a ZOE 3 but I think they would mess it up even more

I distinctly remember the game being very good up until the Vic Viper boss fight. Then it became fantastic from that point on. Leo taught me to actually make use of the sub-weapons, because they were actually incredibly useful in this game. He taught me by breaking my teeth on the ground over and over, brutally making sure I knew how to actually PLAY the game instead of just mashing attack like the first game. All the while to that fantastic soundtrack. Wonderful memories.

God, I love this game. The boss battles are so great too. Found some new appreciation for them on my recent playthrough. The second half of the Inhert fight's literally just a fucking rhythm battle and it's amazing. Halbert best sub weapon. Next to Zero Shift, of course. i need more ken in my life, ANYWAYS, great video!

This game's combat looks pretty fun! I also approve of Ken's design. Her VA also has a 90s feel to it (which might be why you like it.)

Also I thought dingo was upset about ada's self destruct because he's dependent on her for life. He was also told to fight in her till the war is over. I thought he was upset because he doesn't want to blow up too. That's what made it believable for me. Rough and tough military guy doesn't want to die because of some program. Just my thoughts. Makes me wish I had a ps4 for the best version. Thanks for the video!

I love ken ❤️, also sal v who. (I completely forgot that girl existed Also I felt the cutscenes done in 2d had some charm to me that make me want more zone of enders games. Also I started ZOE with the Game boy advanced game when I was in school

Also, fun fact: the opening movie for the game can be found in the Dolby access app for Xbox one as a demo for Dolby Atmos for headphones, even though the game isn't available on the Xbox one. Oops

I remember finding out about this series and immediately grabbing it on the PS3 version; I didn't have online at the time and had to play it without the patch (eventually did get the patch and it was so much better), but oh man did I play the crap out of it - Second Runner's easily one of my favorites games in general. I got VR within the last few years and was STOKED to find out that it was also on PC AND with VR support; it takes some getting used to, but I LOVE it in VR; I always remember imagining how it would look to pilot an Orbital Frame, so it was quite cool to actually be able to do so. Having played it to death on the PS3, the change of perspective and play of VR is a great new way to experience the game. Such an unexpected addition, too; no clue why they did it, but I am glad they did - not enough "meaty" VR games, so I will take official VR-ified non-VR games like this and (modded) Skyrim anytime it happens instead of having to fake it with something like Vorpx.

Loved that you went over both PS2 games. I've loved this series since it's inception and it's probably my favorite IP. That said, stop hating on the Vic Viper!! Lol It might not be the OG Vic Viper but the Vic Viper has WAAAAAYYYY more impressive feats than Jehuty. Despite my love of both 😁

Oh yeah, and Ken is awesome! I think I like her a lot because she gives me an Asuka from Eva vibe, which is exactly the type of character I just can't help but love lol.

I care about the GBA game. I still have a Nintendo Power magazine with a bit of a guide for the game in it just in case I happen to find a working copy at one of the local stores. Load up that Gameboy Player.

A Z.O.E.3 for PS5 would be potentially amazing. What a tragedy that it would likely never reach that potential given the awful direction Konami has taken.

I wish Konami could re release these games on switch.

The first game is a little better because of its versus move. The two fames are both so perfectly balanced. The other verse move wasn’t balanced. It felt incomplete. I get that guy’s opinion. He plays fighting games.
