The Fujinon MK 50-135mm T2.9 Cinema Zoom lens is an Sony E-Mount only lens designed to be used with the Sony FS5, FS7, and FS7 2. It is remarkably lightweight and affordable, for a cinema zoom lens.
To test the Fujinon MK 50-135mm, we used the Sony FS7 II in several typical "cinematic content" scenarios.

XAVC-I QFHD 3840x2160 | 23.976 fps | Slog 3 | Cine Gamut 3
Edited in Premiere Pro CC and graded with Lumetri using LUTs made in DaVinci Resolve on HP z840's

Thank you for the comparison. I really liked the look of both, and the main point, that each can be great for a certain look one needs. I liked tokina a lot, even though I got fuji gear. For a period look it seems a good choice.

At 7:57 you have the Fujinon what seems almost 10mm wide field of view… seen even before counting squares… would the distortion be increased in the Tokina if matched??

The light and the lens, in my humble opinion, are more important than the camera body. It is interesting how people miss this by spending too much on the camera and too little on glass.

how can you determine lens sharpness with no static object but live model? also two shots are out of focus on the eye of the model. focus is set to the stand near by...

anyone know if the sony fs7 was shot using CINE EI mode for this test? I thought that EI mode only operated as 2000 ISO ?

jlproductionsmiami bass iso for 0dB is 2000 iso but the camera’s Ei mode lets you change the rating of the M-LUT, Shane no doubt had the camera set to 1600 Ei. The Ei system has two LUTs, there is a 1D LUT that is S-Log mapped to various Ei’s and then there is the 3D LUT that can be uploaded by the user which transforms both Gamma and Gamut. Hope that helps.
