that was great . Very animated, it helped. I still don't know how I get what I want on that share page. When I go to share, it shows what I have on my computer. But there are certain things, like some audio text that doesn't show up on that share. Btw, I have 15yrs ESL teaching in Asia. But I'm a complete technophobe,and have only used computer for emails and facebook. Now I'm starting to teach on zoom....

Great tutorial! I taught Adult Education Classes around 14 years in the U.S from 1996-2010. Spent 9 years in the Music Industry and decided to return to the ESL Community in part due to Covid. After 150 classroom hours I began a Practicum. I barely know how to be a guest on Zoom let alone Facilitate. And teach a class? Oye! I'm totally lost!

I'm happy and grateful for your tutorial. The situation here in this island is better than in the rest of Spain but it's sad though! I'm so glad you have found the channel helpful, I hope the new semester goes well 😊 Regarding bonding with a new group online, it's very similar to bonding in the classroom. I would concentrate on having fun the first few lessons to let students get to know you, for you to get to know them, and to get used to the online platform. Focus on highlighting positive behavior from students and implement classroom management points so that students know what to expect from you. If you can, have a similar class structure each lesson so it's easier for students to get used to a routine. I hope that helps!

The big question for me is how do I join english classes via zoom. I've been like 4 hours searching for native english teachers... I want to improve my conversation skills.

Hi Adrian, thanks for watching and welcome to the Mooncake community! Zoom is a teaching platform used by many teachers. However, it's not a platform where you will be able to search for teachers. You will need to first find a teacher and if they are using Zoom, they will invite you to call for class. I hope that helps explain things a bit clearer 😊

Actually, thank you! For doing these amazing videos that are so helpful. I have always been a class teacher, but as you know because of the current situation and the quarantine schools are closed and we are bound to carry on our classes online. The school chose Zoom, and since it's my first time, I was pretty anxious about the whole thing. Luckily, I found you and you videos are greatly helpful ❤️
