Thank you so much.I bought Zoomer in USA and when back to my country I saw it is not switching on. Now after watching your video, I got it working back as normal. THanks again
Wow! Bought two of these things for the Gkids in 2013. Somehow was able to get them to work a little in the beginning, but for almost a year now. .....nothing. One actually got thrown away. Fortunately we kept one at our house. I decided to look for a fix finally. Now it's working fine after your helping video. Thanks!
Man , you saved me from tearing in to the pup and try to change the battery, the support in their page sucks I'm glad i found your video , thanks for sharing
Thank you so much! my zoomer is very old so i was worried it wouldn't work anymore but with your trick it finally showed the charging level again. Thanks!
Gosh my kids got this years ago...then didn't use it for a long time. We could not figure out how to get it started back up again...lost directions too. Thank you so much!!!!
Thank you so much for taking the time to post this. Our Zoomer was only two weeks old. And all of a sudden, the toy would not respond or charge. So, as I contemplated buying a new one versus the cost and trouble of finding someone to fix this one, I came across your very clear and concise video. I followed your instructions and Yay!! (Happy Dance and Balloons here) Zoomer is working perfectly. Well Done!! Bravo!! And, thank you again.
Thanks, perfect fix. I do find the wall charger works the best. I've had Zoomer running for 4 days, multiple charges, everything is 100 % perfect. Awesome toy, too bad I have to give it to my 5 year old grandson tomorrow for his birthday, it's been a blast...he's going to love it.
Thanks for sharing this my brother just got the puppy but i didnt know how to use it and it wouldnt come on i am so appreciative that u made this video 😆😆
Thank you for the info, it was VERY HELPFUL! I was about to return our Zoomer to Santa when I came across your video. I found with ours that the charger had to be completely disconnected (unplugged) then plugged back in to get his eyes to show the charge, but I was very excited that it worked!!! My 6 year old son was very depressed that Zoomer kept "dying!" Lol! Hopefully a full six hour charge will do the trick! Very cool toy!
Thank you for your help after a few days it wouldn't charge I did get my zoomer from amazon and I think I got a bad seller I checked out this video and My daughter is like omg it works again I'm so glad u took time for this thanks again I actually have another zoomer and it's zoomer shadow but it works still
AWESOME! thank you. i googled this problem and cound't find any answers. i saw those spazzy blinking lights and thought i just wasted a shit ton of money and would have a very sad 4 year old girl in my home. thanks again!!
I just got a tailless sooner kitty-same style as the sooner dog.does anybody know where I can get the charger chord for it?im dying to know if it works.i have usb chords but none of them fit.HELP!
Oh, I hope, I hope, I hope this process will resurrect our Zoomer! I have a very sad little girl. A terrible accident took our real, live kitten from us on Sunday night, and now, today, her beloved Robot Dog won't work. I have him plugged in right now, and I'm just praying your process will work, because I thought the toy was surely dead too.
Sadly it seems my daughter's Zoomer must really be a goner. After 5 hours of being plugged in and following the directions: (It was already off; I unplugged the cable from Zoomer, turned him on, plugged it back in-- nothing; no lights when I tap his head), I'm getting no response from him at all. Just before trying to charge him earlier today, I did have the brief, spastic eye blinking lights, so I thought he was in the same condition as everyone else's here, but I guess that was just his last little fizzle of animation. What a week for loss for my little girl! I don't think I can afford to buy another Zoomer, with the vet bill also in hand, and I'm not sure really if I would want to. This one only lasted about 7 months, and she was not rough with it at all. Maybe it's just not a good toy. ?
AntMan3DFX Thanks, AntMan. I tried two different charging cables. I don't have an outlet that shows whether it is charging, but I did try a regular wall outlet that worked moments before for another appliance, and I also tried plugging it into a power strip that has a green "on" light, and which was also powering my internet modem/box at the same time. I left it on first for 3 hours and then again overnight (7.5 hours). I got nothing. We're very sad. It worked before we went on vacation. Left for 8 days and came back to no response.
My Zoomer still did not arrive, so I am writing just to give another perspective on the problem, since I feel I know what is going on even if I never experienced it. My job is analytical, I am payed to trouble shoot, and find solutions to problems. I do that by first accumulating a lot of information, and then I put them together. The main two sources in this case are product Manual, and users reviews, including this video. I agree that this video is helping a lot, but only when it comes to checking the state of charge, which in fact is not essential. Charging problems are not related to checking the charge, it is just a side issue that further confuses users. The main problem with the Manual is that they never tell you to turn the toy OFF in order to charge. This has been omitted, and that step is crucial. I know that since I deal with RC toys for several years, and in all of them you need to turn it off in order to charge. Connecting a charger to a toy that is on will not charge it! The other confusion in the Manual is the statement that you can check the state of charge during charging by pressing the head. This video showed us that this is not possible, but you need to disconnect the charger at the end of the charge period, turn the toy on, and reconnect the charger, then press the head. This is the main value of this video, providing the checking procedure. Again, users have to understand that this step is not necessary to successfully use the toy, it is optional. The more crucial take away point is that toy needs to be charged while off, since following the Manual users can neither charge the toy nor check the charge (which is at that point non-existent, since Manual missed the step of turning the toy off). This may be long, but surely needed clarification in greater detail on failings of the User Manual that SpinMaster never got around to correcting. It is strange that they would risk financial failure and bad reviews by many customers, rather then come out with apology and correction, leaving us to do their job, and saving their business.
Oh man. I charged my daughter's zoomer all night. Wouldn't turn on. Tried your method and it's still not working :( there's a light that glows red when it's plugged in but it only glows for about 15 seconds then turns off. Tried it plugged in to various sockets. Any ideas?
so I just bought this dog for my granddaughter for Christmas, if I charge him up before hand and shut him off, will he keep that charge until she opens it or do I have to charge it overnight just before the day she opens it ? can you please let me know........thanks
My zoomer has a little red light next to the place you put the charger in the light is really bright and when it turns off that means its done chargingg at first i didnt know iit was the newest one so i was scared my zoomer wouldent work but when i read the instructions i was suprised to see that it had a red light! but you cant check how much the batteries are at and you need to turn zoomer off so thats what i did an hour later zoomer was perfecly ready to learn neew tricks
Never could get ours to work again. Went around and around with the company too, and finally they agreed to let me buy another one from them for $25 (including replacement and shipping), but then they made me cut off his tail and take a picture to send them before they would send the replacement. But we do now have a new Zoomer and a non-working, tailless Zoomer. The new one works fine but so far has learned no "tricks." My daughter thinks she got the French version or something. (And I have checked to be sure he is set on the A for English.)
It means it is charging. You have the latest version Zoomer which should not have this charging problem. The LED is simply showing that connected and charging.
Finally someone has that same zoomer as me its works awsome because noone really bought that one on christmas so they actaully spent time working on it finally
