AmethystIsBestGem And that's why I'm glad it was scrapped. It was much too overly depressing and somber. And the final film works better at addressing prejudice without the collars.

If that's the case, that'd make an interesting sequel... But of course other powerful/large animals that could also be dangerous if enraged might also get collared... Or four-limb braceleted in cases of elephants due to immense size and one collar not being strong enough.

@@superwhatevergamin9634 Well, that's the thing. Basically, the collars were only for predators, in a society that ran in animal stereotypes. Elephants, because they're herbivores, were exempt. Anything with carnivore or omnivore teeth, though, assuming it was known as a predatory animal, got the collar. So it isn't based on actual danger -- Nick outright states that no predator has eaten prey meat in over 1,000 years -- but on fear of animal stereotypes. Moreover, the collars don't actually cover aggression -- they react to stress, based (I assume based on research) on skin conductance. Get too angry, scared, excited, and ZAP to the neck. At one point, we see a little bear named Morris at his Taming Party -- the collars are required to join society, so receiving one is a rite of passage. He starts playing with balloons, he's happy, he's excited, he's - ZAP! … he's scared. He has to learn to limit himself, to slow himself down, to always, always control himself, or he'll get zapped again. It's... heartbreaking, to be honest.

I found vids detailing the deleted scene. Now with time to think about it, the sequal could be about Predator Rights, and how they had to earn the right to remove shock collars. Could also squeeze in a moment where Judy is named after a famous pred in the protest.

Dealing with night terrors myself, I felt this entire comic--I used to have them, plus hallucinations about them when I woke up. I don't think I've ever told anyone about them when they happen, though--they're hard enough thinking about them.

Nick Wilde's Laboratory: Nick constructs a secret lab where he expands his scientific knowlege. The only problem is, Judy always ends up coming in, forcing Nick to secure the lab so that only he can enter without the passcode which is... "BLUEBERRY".
