Tanaka, Ishizuka, the animators, and everyone who is on the team in one way or another did a super fantastic job in bringing this to life. This is Roronoa Zoro's finest One Piece episode, and man what a sight it is to behold!!
This episode was phenomenal. IDK how they managed to make insane episodes back to back. Queen vs Sanji looks tame compared to this even though that was also amazing.
chansard and ishizuka is a perfect combo, hope they work together more often. YenBM's scenes were also so raw with their artwork. goated episode only sad part is the difference between the next ep and this will be so noticeable lmfao
To each and every single individual who worked on this episode in any capacity...I bow down to you. We aren't worthy! I never thought I'd see an episode top 1017 from an action standpoint, yet here we are. Thank you as always Skippy for showcasing the brilliant talent behind this anime and giving them the credit they're due for their tireless work.
I'll be honest, there are a couple of (minor) things from the manga that I wish they didn't change, but overall? GODLIKE. It's unbelievable how a weekly series managed to produce an episode of this caliber that even several seasonal shounen animes can only hope to achieve. Toei deserves a standing ovation.
I hear you. Absolutely amazing with a few minor nitpick that I wish stayed the same. Like that one kick to the face King landed on Zoro, which Zoro then converted into his Bird Dance slash up King'a torso AS HE WAS SPINNING FROM THE IMPACT. I loved that in the manga, and was kind of sad they just had Zoro block it clean in the anime. But they gave both Zoro and King a lot of extra love anyway, so I can let it pass. Lol.
@@Jb-id1bu Oh yeah, that sequence was really nice in the manga because it felt more seamless, like Zoro was already readying himself to unleash Bird Dance as soon as King kicks him.
Next week won't be to much action that's true but 2 weeks from now is gonna be an episode of Kaido vs Luffy the whole time so I'm expecting to see something there 😅
This was so fucking crazy dude, I felt like I was gonna get a heart attack watching It. Tanaka, Ishizuka, Chansard, HoneHone, Yen AND everyone else did a truly magnificent job, the fact that we got this so close after the Sanji episode is a miracle. Keep up the good work Skippy!
Thank you for the excellent breakdown! I think the fire dragons was the most impressive scene to me. Seeing them fly so smoothly all over the scenes. And then Zoro jumping from rock to rock. So freaking impressive.
I'm kind of at a loss as to how they'll top this for the Yonko fights .😅 Super curious about who the staff are on the finale of the Big Mom and Kaido fights.
Incredibly ambitious!!!!!!! My fav action ep from the series, it's hard to believe what OP anime became, every time it surpasses even the highest expectations!!!!
I just watched this episode last night, and, idk man lol. This is subjective and came up back in 2016 on forums when the Pain Naturo episode came out. There were elements of that here w/ the messy loose line work when Zoro was flying. I disagree that most of it was good, but over all, it was pretty impressive. I still think the two best OP animations were movie 6 and Strong World. Clean, good movement and still silly.
Dude that was an awesome breakdown! Where do you get all this info? I would love to know more about the individual animators. There is one style in particular where the lines get a bit more rough, but the animation is smooth as butter, like in the team attack between Luffy and Yamato against Kaido where Luffy uses Snakeman while Yamato does a charging attack on the ground. I think it must be the same animators who did parts of Sanji vs Queen at the end and Luffys gear 5th "beat loudly, heartbeat" moment. That style is absolutely beautiful! Would be really cool to know who the animators are so I can check out more of their work! Great breakdown! Top tier content! -Edit- After a bit of research, I believe the animator I was referencing is Akihiro Ota. Absolutely phenomenal work. Never seen anything like it.
Hi Skippy, one question, how exactly did Luana help Vincent in that cut and what did Vincent do there? I ask because I want to know more in detail about your styles.
I hope so because that's my next episode tonight. This saga has been a grind and I can't wait for the transition period after leaving Wano before Egghead. Because awesome transition updates happen as we take a break. I love those because we go all over the world for updates.
