Why don't you compare it with other budget camera systems not high end camera systems? Not everybody has the $$$$$$$$ to buy high end cameras.

if you want to keep your stuff safe, spend the money. If you just want to monitor your property, THEN look at cheaper alternatives, if you have a store though, don't cut corners man.

Don't forget to upgrade the Firmware. Most of these issue (skipping, backup, etc) go away. When all else fails, follow the instructions.

I actually have a Zosi System 1080p 8 cameras it works well for me no lag no crashes the colors are a little off in night vision but in the day time its better but idc every person has a opinion

I have the 8ch .265+ with (4) 4k 8mp IR cams with a basic 2TB hhd which i also attached audio to each camera using after market mics. These all run over BNC cables except for the mics which i ran a separate cable for and it all works great. I also modded it to use an external 3D joystick for my 8" 5mp HD Hikvision PTZ cams w/audio, lens wiper, heat defrost, ect.. using a POE to RJ45 adapter while using a separate 48v power supply. I have plans to run a few more ptz cams but overall this unit is good bangz for the buckz ! No lag on my unit. I also have this running on several monitors around the home. I do not have this running over the internet, all closed circuit for a good reason :) I have a hard wired alarm system to alert me if there is a problem :) Privacy is key y'all .. too many chinese back doors open when you run these systems online.

I've installed 30+ ZOSI systems both digital and analog. They work fine, install fine and last a few years. Remember no service costs. The servers are not the fastest but works fine. I even have a couple in tobacco barns that survived 2 years so far. You could pay up to 5 times more and have to pay a service contract or buy a new ZOSI every 5 years and still save money.

This may be a hair old video but I understand there are HDD`s for DVR`s and then for pC/laptop , Understanding is that DVR HDD is built to run 24/7 and the PC/laptop is not, Look at the labels same brands and all but small diff on label.

You can create a new vlan on your network to match the cameras subnet. It’s recommended to separate your surveillance network from your main network anyways.

recently bought a Zosi H.265+ NVR system with 2 wireless IP camera's recording in 1080p.... ... For around 100$ !!! (without hdd) There is (almost?) no competition at this price point.. so don't expect a high end experience. Yes it's a bit sluggish, but if something happens at night you will be able to get the footage. Doesn't matter that the interface is a bit slow right? I didn't have any trouble backing up footage o USB stick, it took my FAT32 stick with no problems btw.. I'm happy with it for now :-)

I found your video and I have a question. I have a relatively cheap Anbvision wireless I purchased last year. I only use it to monitor my front porch for packages UPS/Fed Ex may leave. My camera has no SD card. However, it does email me a picture when triggered. My problem is it disconnects after a short time which disables it's auto picture function. My wireless is at 100% to the camera so that can't be the issue. I was looking at this Zosi 1080p wireless with an SD card. I'm wondering if I'll just have the same issue?? I'm not intending it for security. I have a very observant dog for that and in 26 years, never an issue in my hood. ;)

I got a set of 4 Zosi cameras with the NVR on amazon for a good deal and was super pumped because I was in desperate need of a system due to some issues we had been having. I was super disappointed with them. I guess you get what you pay for...

Hey Jason, Have you ever used or played around with a license plate recognition plugin for blue iris? does one exist? with regards to these cameras.. Dang skipped frames, washed out colors, really low quality resolution/clarity... that sucks. :(

Have you tried any Dahua IP Cameras? I personally found the IPC-HDW4433C-A 4MP turret pretty decent considering the Amazon price tag of $60. It supports ONVIF too. Although, at 2.8mm, it doesn't have a huge amount of range, but it gets a huge FOV. And while those Zosi might not be all that great, maybe you could keep them somewhere like near doors since it probably does a decent enough job at 5 feet.

I havent tested those yet. And I don't want to hook these cameras back up without keeping them on their own vlan and denying internet access. Too much a security risk have for ip devices running default user/pass. In the end, cameras are a dime a dozen and to me, not worth the risk.

I totally understand, I keep all my cameras on their own VLAN that doesn't have internet access, I have a Blue Iris VM that I can access ( one way ) from the trusted network or VPN. Same with home automation devices ( although some of those have internet access like Alexa ). I just try to use everything I can since I run on a pretty tight budget.

Can you show us how to use the cameras without the NVR? I have this system, and the NVR is in a closet where all the network connections come in. If I could hook up to my Linux server ...woo hoo! that would make this sooo much better.

Bro the 8 camera version of this PLUS a 1tb hard drive is only 260 right now. There’s lots of better quality nvr’s and and cameras but NOTHING on the market beats this system for the same money or even near the same money

A lot of those NVRs have very weak CPUs which isn't good for smooth footage...You are probably not far off when you said they're probably rocking raspberry Pi boards at 2:52...

I have the 4 in 1 ZG2611C cameras. I have this dvr 1080P/ ZR082N. I can't get my night vision to work, in the owners manual it shows a menu to turn the night vision on, I cannot find that menu.ZOSI customer service is totally useless. Can anyone give me advice.

Amcrest cameras are great but customer service and warranty suck! Also if you make a purchase and have a warranty issue they charge you to return a defective item still under warranty. They also like to tie up PayPal disputes over the maximum length of time in order to stick it to customer. The cameras have good resolution but really buggy app functions.

Pour tout les personnes qui sont intéressés, par ce kit camera zosi par wif !! Je déconseille cette enseigne, sur 4 caméras 2 hs en 3 mois de fonctionnement et aucun recours ni remboursement est de plus un couverture wifi ridicule
