Yeah there are a lot of PT cameras out there... I don't have any Zosi cameras anymore. I used to have an old CVBS camera system by them some years ago. Might have been 720P can't remember it was many cameras ago. To be honest the Quality isn't really there.. For a Cheap PTZ camera if you wanted one for that spot. I would look into the Annke WZ500, It is a 5mp with 20x zoom. Now the 2 I own are a couple of Misfits. But overall quality is good and for what you are trying to do I think it would work great for your location. What is the cost in your area not sure. I know that I bought my 2 under what asking price was on Annke's website. I did some videos some time ago about the camera. While my Review wasn't maybe the greatest. That is because you can't go from High Quality PTZ cameras to the WZ500 without some pains.. Now biggest issue for me is there seems to be some video padding going on. So high quality 2mp 20x zoom camera to someone with quality picture in mind would notice. Someone without PTZ of lower quality or any quality the camera has a great picture for the Price. Now the camera in my Video that I put up to it cost MSRP 799 in 2016 when it was bought new. I paid 10% that for the Annke 20x zoom camera with white leds and ability to work full color even in pitch black I wouldn't though personally. I would use the Auto IR to Color at night on motion to keep the camera cool. White LEDS are full on in color night mode without an adjustment so the short time going from IR to Color at night won't over heat camera... Again it is 20x PTZ with quality optical zoom. Price ranges from 99 to 129. Again not sure what it would be in your part of the world.. I think the Zosi app for your camera is better then the app for the WZ500. But again quality 20x zoom. App for me do I get alerts? yes, can I playback yes, does it work away from home without having to pay for Cloud? Yes.. Then that is good enough for me... I do have over 40 cameras be it HD Analog or IP, Some are Ai others just normal.
In theory camera price is good even only being PT. For some brands these cameras are just under 200 and has to do with ability to patrol more then just a Static area of view. However if price difference is only 30 or 50 from PT to full PTZ then pay the extra.
I can see now that this company does not help those that purchase their products. While looking at the facebook page, I saw that this is a ongoing issue with this product. Once 5 months pass the product stops working, and users get no assistance. Rather than continuously going back and forth and having no resolution. I will leave my review on every outlet I can find regarding this product. I have a reolink and swann in my other properties for over a year and they never had an issue. There was no intention by this company to ever stand by their product.
I think is worth paying a bit more for a cam tha follows and zooms and can record go a dvr without paying for cloud. Ive got an older Pan only that records to sd but now im wanting more upgrade
We have 2 of these camera which whatch the entrances to our bird of prey enclosures and surrounding areas as well as having fixed cameras inside and for the money they are pretty good. Great vid bud
Can you use this camera without it using an app that might send info back to China. Maybe rtmp output etc. Use one of the local security software setups then integration into home assistant. Just a thought from an old fella in Tassie.
It's not an IP camera, so there isn't an RTSP option, which would make it hard to "roll your own" HA integration. It seems everything needs to be controlled through the app.
@tomduncan3547 if it's wifi and on the same network as your NVR, the recorder should pick it up, maybe need to enter it's IP address, rtsp port is probably 554 and video feed port 8080
I really like your videos... but I left this one after the "Finally connected" part... because this cam is NEVER going to be part of my setup... not a chance - nope! not with that lousy "security". Thank you for the work you put into it - and i'm a little impressed you didn't roast them wint other than som very clear facial expressions ;-)
Thanks Flemming for your candid feedback. Put it this way, I am unlikely to review a similar product any time soon 😂 Which is why normal programming shall resume from next week. At least now you know not to spend time considering it. And yes, I am a very nice person, but it seems my sentiment came across 😏
Good question Bill. The ethernet is an alternative to WiFi, so it isn't required. You do have to make sure your WiFi supplies 2.4Ghz bandwidth, as the camera only connects to that.
Kinda. I have a bunch of videos on cameras. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ZkyURwCHBrQ.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8P7mHlVQxDE.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GcbGnuMwXcI.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mcmDbNwzvVs.html
Was impressed when I came across your video yesterday as I was looking for info on my new Unifi stuff.... but seems most if not all of your videos are freebies (hence sponsored).... So shame but I'll pass and will unsubscribe.
