Exactly the same case with me, plus the fan on the side of ports does not spin at all, even under load. RMA is approved, replacement is pending yet. Hope the new one doesnt whine like that again.
@@blacklysted4ever Glad it went smooth. I have pretty loud coil whine on gigabyte 3060ti gaming oc pro. If ill send it for rma, it will take a least 6 weeks and theres no guarantee they will send me a new one. It sucks. I worked hard to buy this pc after 10 years with my old one :/
I have seen this issue with literally all of the new 3000 series nvidia gpu’s from different brands, this is why you should remain patient instead of getting something from launch which would have issues such as this and driver issues as well. Some games don’t even have option for ray tracing and other stuff since the gpu just released and is very new so you’re have to wait for a good 4 months for everything to be fixed and ready to go
Coil whine is pretty random a lot of the time. Can take fifty of the same card, and no matter which model etc you'll have some that have that. If it bothers you send it back, warranty usually covers that kinda thing. My 5700XT has it only in very specific games and circumstances, like looking at a certain carpet rug in a specific game lol, otherwise it's minimal or I just don't notice it much anymore (considering the other crap I've dealt with with that damn card)
It really is, i had no problem with my 1070 for like 5 years, then it started to make this noise only in one particular game, but it stopped after a few days
wrong configuration of your power cable , never use it like that, you have to plug it one by one each lane from the psu ( 8+8 ) dont use 8+8 from the one cable only,
Yup, split power is not good on high power cards, the only time you should use the split cable is if there is 3 connectors, 2 8pins and the third one can use a split, although its still better if you have 3 individual cables
@@ThePersonalPC tbh i dont know what its called, I was thinking daisy chain but its not quite that lol, might just be a splitter cable, but yea either way its no good :P
I have two split cables. Is that also okay to do? Meaning 2 out of 4 cables are not in use. I hope you can help me out. I also experience little coil whine on my 3080 vision.
Is your radiators mounted to the front of the case with the hose lines on the top?? GamersNexus did a whole video about how doing that causes a similar wine, due to air being pulled by pump. Flip it or mount on top for a free quick fix to the noise. Hope this helps.
Lol this is clearly coil whine coming from the gpu... The cpu aio radiator doesnt have anything to do about this. And the coil whine you woulg get from thr cpu radiator is way less than this
I have that when loading Rainbow Six Siege on my GIGABYTE RTX 2070 SUPER, only on the loading screen though, I thought it was my PSU until I found it was my card.. Over time you’ll get used to it.
ive tested strix 3070ti, strix 3080, msi suprim x 3080, evga 3070ti, evga 3080....... all have some sort of Coil Whine, but EVGA cards are the best, with almost no coil whine
The sound comes from the gpu. I have tested it with individual cables to each port. Im confused and not sure if its the psu or the gpu. If it is PSU, it could be the psu output voltage's frequency not delivering proper voltages. Need to do more tests
@@MJLStudios it's just random usually, as I commented above but doing again so you can see it. Let Zotac know they'll prob let you RMA it. I get it only jn very specific circumstances with my 5700xt but any card can get it, usually only high end VRMS and stuff can prevent it, but even then my reference card has great power delivery and still when I look at a rug in like L4D2 it freaks out lol.
I think a replacement Zotac card would be just as noisy, so I would just learn to live with it. Once the side panel is on and after turning on your game sound... It should be ok. I've had similar coil whine from a reference 980Ti and a Gainward GTX970. Higher end Gigabyte and Asus cards don't have much coil whine, but they cost more.
i don't think those Pcie cables are well connected to the gpu. If the gpu got 3 ports, you gotta use 3 cables, not bend the extension and connect it to the other port
My 2070 super from msi is the same way with everything maxed an rtx on. I found if you lower the FPS it’s not as annoying but I would recommend sending it back to zotac for a replacement.
dam sorry dude , is the same soil whine when you are inside the game or only in the menu ? if it inside playing too how many fps you are getting ? i play wow 75 max fps 2070 super founder but if get 140-150 fps my card get coil whine too
@@martymcfly88mph35 119761 dogecoin. I'll send you address. Hold on. Once on 2nd confirmation on scan i'll start packing the gpu. Warrenty is international
