what was your 125 gearing? i have the xpro 125 street legal enduro that i plan on installing the zs190 on it by xmas if not sooner.my 125 has a 13 frt and 41 rear.and according to the speedometer best i could get oyt of it was 52mph at 9000 rpm,1000 short of redline; am fixing to install at 17t frt and 35t rear to get me by til i get the 190,is their room in the case for a 18 or 19t frt on the 190?
I was using the stock sprocket that came with the Vader, but I can't remember what gearing they were. But the ZS190 tops out easily with the stock gearing. I think the front can go bigger but not too much as it will run the case
I used the stock wiring on my Vader and just swapped some wires to make it work. Mike over on the ZS190 facebook group was the one that explained how to swap the wires
Doing this swap now, thanks for the clarification on the wiring. I actually swapped my gear indicator switch from the 125 to the 190. It won't show 5th, but 1st through 4th and N will be displayed. Curious though, did you move the voltage regulator to on top of the frame tube to make room for a rearward facing carburetor? My VR is mounted on the side and forces me to point rhe the carb forwards.
Hey do I got a question I got a same kind of bike a hell cat 125 grom clone it has a 6 pin cdi the new motor I have is a yx160 5 wire with lighting coil so I did this on my trail 70 I had to use all new wiring and tap into the bikes yellow and white wires. But my grom clone is like yours so did you use the same cdi what did you keep if the old electrical and what is new also what should I do to get the same functions
02:21 so from what you said the green wire gets soldered to the black wire so essentially the green and black wire are connected together and both those wires get connected to the zs190cc green wire? Also will the ZS190 be swapped on a XPRO X7 which i believe is a Boom Vader Clone? I'm also curious if anyone has modded the transmission to show each gear instead of just showing neutral.. that gotta be annoying to not see what gear youre in.. I could probably forget what gear im in since im a noob.
Basically I got a 6 pin cdi and 6 wire stator 125 now I got a 5 pin cdi with 5 wire stator 160yx I kinda get what you siad in your video but like I siad in the other question what did you do with the old wire harness use it or loose it
No it won't show the gears just neutral only. But I saw someone a while back take out the gear sensor from the stock engine and put it over to the ZS190 and that shows the gears from 1N234. Just not the last gear since the ZS trans has one more gear than the stock engine.
I'm not sure. Maybe but join the ZS190 Swap Shop on Facebook and those guys will be able to help you out. They are swapping the ZS190 to many clones and would know.
For my Boom Vador Grom clone it was a direct bolt on. But if you have a different frame the adapter plates may be needed. Join the Zs190 Facebook group. Those guys are swapping all kinds of bikes and would be able to help you
Grom requires an adaptor, can vouch that og boom requires only this and the brake spring to be cut off for everything to work. From the 5ft I rode it with it half together, it feels fast. Big bike fast. Only time will tell if it's both fast and reliable.
kengy seng sorry I don't have the wiring diagram and your Motrac has a different wiring harness. Your Motrac has fuel injection right? You should join the facebook ZS190 Swap Group and I'm sure others may be able to help you. Mike Davis helped me with the wiring for my bike
