Most effective options at the different Levels progression are still Specialized alternately: Allez Sprint L14+ (flats/rollings), Tarmac Pro L11+ (climbs) and S-Works Venge L33+.
Could you do a quick test on something like the Innsbruck UCI short. comparing how the wheels affect the time there? disc vs 858 vs enve 7.7 vs 3.4 and tron?
Cheers Chris I have finally got my Vengeance just need the disc wheel now. Would you consider looking at TT bikes next please perhaps on the desert TT course?
Ed right now: Why did it have to take so long for this conclusion? I had to realize this the hard way! Do you realize how hard it is to keep up with Trons down the Epic/AdZ mountains when you're 60kg and on a pure climbing setup?! xD Wheels next! :)
Holy serious broadcaster ! You r the real deal with that mic 😎😎😎😎😎😎😀😀😀😀😀😀😋😋😋😋 love it! What I want is those 858 zip wheels on my Tron bike ; way back u were able to pair Tron with the Millsteins 🤓🤓🤓 that shat was fast 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼😱😱😱😎😎 omg baby!!!! 😻😻😻😻
I'm at level 33, have the Tron bike and finally 5 million drops. I have the 808 wheels and a Madone. So what to buy? I guess a good TT bike which I never ride? Or a Gravel bike which only makes sense on the jungle circuit..... I think I'll save them for later. Thoughts??
Hear a lot about the milenwhatever lightweight wheels being fastest up hills but what’s better for a longer hilly route like the pretzel or the 4 horseman?
Pritch, I noticed that when you showed the Pinarello F10 that there was some water spray from the road. Does the weather in Zwift have any effect on speed? Good luck testing that... 😆
It would be interesting to see who is faster the Tron bike Vs the Venge S-Works with the 808 Super 9 "WITH DRAFT". Every time I race with the Super 9 the avatar stays up on the hoods, don't see it on the drops, so I guess no draft benefit. The Tron might be 1 second slower on its own but with the draft of a "Peloton" that would be cool to find out. Love the channel videos are very cool, when is your next race?
Wheels please, be good to see the tipping point for hilly races. At what point does the 858/Super9 needing swapping for something lighter. Maybe UCI Innsbruck or something over the Epic KOM as the course.
Would still like to see the times of the buffalo and safety bike with those disk wheels compared to the fastest. I know zwift has fixed the bug that made the safety bike super fast but would like to know how slow are they actually compared to the fast road bikes. 👌Good work thanks!
I'm interested in how much difference the CeramicSpeed OSPW makes? It looks like your earlier tests were done without it, but this last top 10 fastest road bike test was done with it if I'm not mistaken. It's hard to tell with the full disc and your camera angle from the left.
The ceramic ospw is on however when off line it doesn't seem to increase the speed... I tested a few bikes both with and without and the times are the same!
Out of curiosity, how many times do you test a bike/wheel combo? One timing or averaged over a few runs? Does the same bike on the same course always produce exactly the same result with the same wattage and rider? Love to see a TT test - will the P5x or Ventum come out on top ...
... do the wheels test!... and about the next bike I want to see in Zwift... Colnago, Bianchiand Argon ring the bell for some reason but... I think and wonder why isn't zwift going for some retro bikes... and make steel bike only races... that could work... you have to make them expensive or avaliable in level 26 and above to make people work to have them... and then let some room to customize... even having retro wheels like have a 21 mm that would be interesting.
you just sent me into a panic, I have 70k feet climbed and not sure if I ticked the Everest challenge. Anything from Collage would be nice and when will we get a Champs (Paris TDF) crit course?
Not sure how you'd test it, but I'd like to see if the bike makes much difference when drafting. I get a feeling that it really only makes a difference for solo riding or breakaways, and then it's only a fraction of a second. Also a pure climbing test (alpe) and a pure aero test (fuego flats) would be good. I'm hoping my beloved systemsix proves to be quick on the pure flats
Hello, you have a very good channel, I have a question, in your opinion, which of the trainings that zwift offers prepares you the best for zwift races? Best regards from Chile.
How about the fasted bike (regardless of frame/wheel type) for solo riders on specific courses (Road to Ruins, Mountain 8, Road to Sky, Sand and Sequoias, etc.)?
It's not something people didn't already know. The problem with the tron and courses with climbing in it is what happens if you get dropped on the climb? Will you recover the bunch? Probably not. Would a lighter bike allow you not to get dropped? Who knows. If not, then a lighter bike would render you a better finish time and maybe a say in the final sprint.
TT Bikes, and helmet vs hair on Tempus Fugit twice which equals 40k! The benchmark TT distance. 40k in just under 1 hour, which TT Bike, Wheel, aero helmet/no helmet performs best?? And include the Tron Bike please! 🚴🏻♂️😁👍
How about MTB vs Gravel bike (I think there is just the Zwift gravel bike so far, though I wouldn't be surprised to see the new Specialized Diverge show up in the drop shop given how much Zwift loves Specialized) on the gravel sections like jungle loop. I already comically discovered that the MTB is significantly faster on the jungle loop than a road bike haha.
Bike speed. I’m skeptical that if you run this test 10 times you would get the same results. I’m guessing the order would be shuffled +/- a few seconds due to random quirks in the game.
