Hey man, my son and I have an EL Falcon with the 4l We blew the head gasket, my mate has a head gasket set from an au, I have read that it will still fit the el engine. Do you know if that's true
thanks for your video, on a stock turbo 2015 Fiesta ST but with a high flow exhaust and CAT, intercooler upgrade, cold air intake upgrade, diverter valve + addon, Peron stage 2 Pro tune, would i need another tune if i wanted to install a pair of upgraded cams?
I am on my second control box and my mufflers are not opening again, what I found replacing my control box the first time was that the control flaps were rusted and stuck closed, probably what caused the control box to blow. Going to reach out to Varex and see what suggestions they have for keeping them lubricated.
This is a hot piece of work, mate. I'm new to the 5.4 scene as I love the sound of them. Sadly I bought a boss 260 with a burnt valve. Might put a dent in the wallet?
I’ve found running a mace TI Performance 12 mill intake Insulator spacer the whole manifold runs cool as and I have lots more grunt and better fuel economy better all over the rev range
Love the tickford intech I blew my original xh tickford engine up doing a huge burn out blew the head gasket and dropped a rod the Ute is the series one xr6 T5 manual Ute running the 3.45.1 lsd diff on flipped leafs it’s really fun to hoon around in only has a mild cam and 4480 with open exhaust system guts out of the cat sounds really deep and so good around the limi rev range and as for your question I’ve found the Broadband intake on my Ute ok but for the higher revs the old log manifold seem better my Ute is cool and fairly quick off the mark I’m flowing you now and subscribed i’m interested to see what you’re doing with that engine
Absolutely love my Fords had a Bf xr8 Boss 260 6sp auto very slow take off great top end am told it costs a lot to get more out of these engines the heads are massive you can put GT cams in and what you've explained in your video also diff gears
I really appreciate the information you provide throughout your videos. You have a great way of presenting your work and nobody else does anything like this. Your channel will grow. I am going to share a lot of your videos to likeminded people. Seems like you are a great bloke all round. Chill vibes throughout all videos.
Very impressive....makes me wonder how quick my stock 220kw AU2 auto sedan would be in the quarter ? Bigger throttle body and valves from the factory. First I have to find out where all the water is pissing out of near the back of the intake manifold (just happened the other day dammit). It rips to redline in first and second fairly easily, even at 320,000+km's !!
The ED was a well sorted car, they looked good, were pretty reliable and it's a shame you don't see more of them on the road. I did my apprenticeship from 91 to 94 with a ford dealership, so I do have a soft spot for E series falcon.
Awesome work, Blake! I must admit that I pronounced it bull-ar-kay after Key & Peele's classic "substitute teacher" bit. :) I've been following your channel for ages, really enjoying what you've done with the modular engine. As a proud owner of two AU Falcons (manual V8 ute and a neat, bone-stock VCT AU2 Fairmont Ghia) I'm really enjoying your tweaking of the mighty XR8. Keep up the great content. 👍
Hey big guy, have you ever run the beast on another dyno to see if there is a difference. There's zero chance that GT is making less than 300 at the wheels. Diff gears skew? Tq went up.....
Yes, it made 311rwkw. I think there are some lofty dynos around. I'm trapping 8mph more than another 340rwkw 5.4 with 4.11s that a mate of mine owns. Hopefully new engine should make 30-40rwkw more.
