Hi sir, please do make a video on how to mount the Kriega OS Platforms and the soft bags used on your Himalayan, also if possible please mention places from where to get them in India.
Hi sir, please do make a video on how to mount the Kriega OS Platforms and the soft bags used on your Himalayan, also if possible please mention places from where to get them in India.
Hey buddy. Just a of the track question. Which bike is best Honda CB200x or Hunter. Budget is low, aim is to roam around. I know both are a bit different. But your opinion matters very much.
Bosky I am quite in dilemma. I am not sure if CB200x will take me to ladakh with a pillion. Or if it has the power. I have been a scooter guy past 10 years. I wanted Himalayan, but it's out of budget.
I fell down on sand twice 😂 basically coz there was traffic jam and I had to balance the bike everytime by applying brakes. Good to know you were able to maintain 40-50 speed. What was the tyre pressure you maintained on sand ?
Personal preference. I learn and adapt to and stick to stock height on my motorcycles since that's the best for overall better control. I may widen the bars but seldom increase height.
Hi Sir, Big fan, thanks for all the informative videos. I have 411 (2019), mainly for city use and weekend short rides around Bangalore. I intend to start long rides and maybe ride to north, leh ladhak and all in future. Am i missing big on 450, or 411 would suffice. Thank you.
Time has finally come for me to get one of two and to be honest, my heart says Himmy but my head says Scrambler. Such a brilliant product from RE but the two chassis snapping incidents brought back the cloud of fear, anxiety and questions regarding the quality. Now even comes with the the cross spoke tubeless rims but I still cant overcome the fear to get this. And for a motorcycle that nearly cost INR 3.50 lakh or above, the quality is still not at the level of Scrambler 400X or ADV 390. I often wonder why. And no matter what RE says about how the chassis got snapped, it simply should've never happened. Not even once and these are not my words but Shubhabrata Marmar's. I wish I could get the Himmy but Scram it is.
@@bigbearbangalore Hey Sir, do you find that tiring on your rides? Or does it settle down at higher rpm's? Rackety engines are a deal breaker for me. I had planned to buy the Himalayan post launch of tubeless spoke tyres and now that they have , am having second thoughts.
Doesn't bother me. It's at slow speed in traffic that one can hear all the racket. Pick up some speed and it's no longer audible. For me, therebare far greater and nice things to focus on and enjoy when riding. The clatter isn't going to mess with my peace.
@@bigbearbangalore Thank you for your response! Yes , the positives outweigh the cons. In Pune City, the roads are an off roaders paradise, so you need something with good suspension and a bike which is easy to ride standing on the foot pegs. H450 fits the bill.
Sir, I love your videos and the lovely banter you share. I have also booked the Himalayan 450 for long touring and I aspire to become a good rider and evolve my riding skills. Having said that I am new to the geared bikes but I do practice on borrowed and rented bikes to up my riding skills. I just have one concern regarding the H450s breaking in period. I came across some videos on youtube which mentioned that during H450s breaking in period for the first 500 kms we must keep the rpm range between 2500 to 4000 rpms with occasional 4500 bursts. Although I am too careful with my belongings and want to drive my vehicle properly all the time and not just during the break-in period, I am just a little more concerned about what if occasionally the rpms drop below 25k or rise above 40k (but not red lining) while shifting the gears or while tackling some on-road challenges? Will it damage the engine or affect its lifespan? I saw one of your old videos where you mentioned that with the modern engines we need not worry so much about the breaking in period. Could you please help me resolve this concern.
Thank you. Always remember to enjoy your ride. Don't stress about the rpm. Build up speed and confidence gently. Don't worry about random high revs or low revs. I never bother to run in. I just ride free.
@@bigbearbangalore Sir, Thank you so much for your reply and morale-boosting advice. I am a big fan of yours and am watching your videos since I have planned to buy a motorcycle. Your videos are full of knowledge and wisdom and have that positive, friendly vibe that can't be explained in words. The picturesque backdrops, the funny banter-everything is so addictive and always makes me chuckle. Keep up the great work; I would love to meet you some day.
Can you have someone who's around 5'6" or 5'7" to test the bike wrt the seat height and weight. The short test rides at showrooms and lack of rental options is not allowing me to guage the same properly. Im looking at parking scenarios on slopes, offroads with ruts etc. The bike will be mostly used for commuting and weekend rides with mild trails(nothit extreme) and 2 long tours in a year. I am considering the duke390 which is a great high speed commuter/city bike and also does touring and mild trails decently well due to its suspension and ground clearance. Mu other option is the 450 after the recent spoke wheel announcement, which is a bike with more capabilities in terms of offroads and better pillion/luggage space.
Boskey sir, is REH450 practical for bumper to bumper traffic in B'lore Or Mumbai. Coz my 80% ride wud be traffic and 20% ecstasy to the mountains. I have a meteor 350 and it's brilliant in traffic but not so great on others. Please advice.
The H450 would be a good choice. The advantages on the 20% of the mountain travel ourweight the small disadvantages in commuting. Take a test ride in peak traffic to know more.
@@Whatreally123 thank you sir, but the question wasn't for you. I have already rode the 450 and it's amazing. Wanted an expert opinion from Boskey sir (the channel owner) Regards.
Hi Sir, very fond of the knowledge you share about the different motobikes available. I have a question and wanted your opinion on if it is possible to swap the front suspension of Hunter 350 which is 41mm telescopic fork with that of guerilla 450 front suspension that is 43mm telescopic fork?
Hello, thanks. While almost anything is possible, am notnsure that this will be a straightforward swap. May be complicated and cost much time and energy. Besides there's no guarantee that this change will help.
