Masanobu NISIGAKI was born in Kyoto, Japan. He graduated from the Conservatoire de Nice in 1971. He was awarded the Premier Prix. In 1972, he was also awarded the Grand Prix de la Ville de Nice for his interpretation of Concerto de Aranjuez with Nice City Orchestra. He has given numerous guitar concerts in France, Italy, Spain, Monaco and the UK, while teaching music and the guitar at several Japanese universities and colleges as a visiting professor. Since 1988 he has been a member of the jury of the Maria Canals International Music Competition sponsored by the Spanish government.
