So grateful I found this channel almost exactly in a year ago while driving to the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, to camp and ride trails. On these trips, I’m simultaneously enjoying and am saddened looking at the scenery trying to imagine what it once was. It literally almost makes me sick to my stomach. Here in Oklahoma where I’m from the surrounding countryside for up to 50mi in any direction is squared up in session lines, 1 mile x 1 mile squared off. Me myself I won’t hurt anything besides foul environment and wild pigs. The toenail clippers! I can’t stand clippers I have always literally always either ripped my nails off with a thumbnail or a pocket knife and literally about an hour ago. My 5yo daughter and I cut a full toenail out with the pocket knife. I don’t remember stomping my toe or anything but it cut out extremely easy with very little blood. No idea why. but it just happened, what a coincidence lol
No specifics, but are there youtube videos saying the exact opposite that delete negative comments and thumb downs? I can still see the later with ad ons. I could be paranoid but I might have seen something like that. Again not going to name the video and I don't expect you to either, just saw one that made red flags in my head go up
"Pacific Junction, Iowa" still a rough town Iowa was full of bandits back then all the way until the 1950s chicago syndicate guys used to treat Iowa like a vacation joint dillinger was arrested in NW Iowa the first daytime MOVING train robbery was in Iowa Wyatt Earp ran away from Pella, Iowa (not the first boy to get that idea in Pella) HH Holmes lived in Iowa as well as John Wayne Gacy etc etc etc
Hey Josh, here is my suggestion for you to track down some possible evidence to either prove or discredit Brushy Bill. After he died in Hico, Texas, there had to have been an autopsy of him. A copy of the report should show all the scars, possibly even photos of the body. Also, if the coroner is still alive, he could be questioned about what scars he saw on Brushy Bill's body. Just food for thought.
@WildWestExtravaganza Well, then that would be a little suspicious, wouldn't you say? Even on an obvious heart attack, there should be an autopsy to confirm it. A photo for the file and possibly the body drawing showing where damage on the body was. They did that in the 70's when I was a kid. I'm sure they did it in the 50's as well. Anyway, it was just a thought.
It's not impossible he was a rough rider. There's a photo that looks a hell of a lot like him. He looks absolutely nothing like Billy the Kid, though. That part's a straight up lie.
Do you not recognize any evidence prior to the invention of photography? If someone discovered a hieroglyphic of a dead Billy the Kid would that convince you?
Bass Reeves literally embodied the American Western Hero that a nation of children in the 1950:s ,- 60,'s were raised on, through the Movies and earlier, children of the 1870's on - though Dime Novels and later, Paperbacks. Bass Reeves had the "Look, the guts, and the fortitude" to be the real character we came to imagine through countless Westerns. Today, he is an icon, the Poster Man of the Western Character. I get a sense of Bass Reeves having set aside the era's Prejudices and all those "Lower Mind, aka Ego Mind, aka Adolescent Mind" negative Thought Energies, something that has continue to a lesser degree, yet remains obvious through the Public's Reactionary habits to Mainstream 24hr Cable News and Comment Sections daily. He was a Man ahead of his time and had a gift of mastery with his Thoughts and Perspectives, which is evident in his Successes, as defined in the "Universal Law of Attraction". The image used in this video is of a modern reenactor named Floyd Oydegaard in Northern California, taken circa late 1990s - early 2000s by a wetplate colodian artist named William Dunniway. Great character image of a modern reenactor who is a nice guy but this picture is often confused with being an original image of an 1800s era outlaw. Great monologue. Floyd's picture went with it nicely.
Paula was pregnant with billys child..pete didnt want his daughter to be mixed up with a rustler and killer...pete and pat conspired to "take care of billy"....Pete's idea was to have pat arrest him.once again lol and lock him up long enough to straighten him out....Pat's idea was to eliminate billy once and for all and collect the reward money...when pete found out what pat was going to do he had as close a look alike to billy as possible brought to the ranch to be killed instead of billy...however pat did kill billy that night instead of the stand in.....brushy bill is billys child not billy !!! P.s. brushy killed pat Garrett ........and this is how the truth gets lost 😂
No, the song predates this Tucker but there’s a very good chance he was given the name Dan due to the song. His birth name was David but even the papers would occasionally refer to him as “Old Dan Tucker”.
Their called low orbit resaienit frequency weapons. Been around for awhile. Tom Hanks is creepy at best, Hollywood earned that reputation. Not sure what any of that had to do with ole slippery dick
i really misunderstood that last question so your answer seemed so wrong to me. definitely was trying to think of whether I'd want to meet a bear who is wielding a tomahawk or a bowie knife........ and come to think of it, I'd love to hear your answer to that too... 19:16
When you throw in the nonexistence of antibiotics and penicillin along with doctors not scrubbing up regularly and that will jack with the numbers as well when you add these up. Also I appreciate your use of statistics in this episode. Well done sir.
They made a lot of ugly people look pretty in the movies. But yeah, I always knew about Chavez. I actually went out to New Mexico with my wife back in 2001. We did sort of a Billy the Kid history run down the state for five days and then went on and spent another four days down in Big Bend National Pk in Texas. A great trip. Lot of fun. Beautiful land out there too.
@@WildWestExtravaganza yeah, we had a blast. Ended up having some car trouble out in Texas that cut things a bit short though. So we had to come all the way back up here to Jersey. But it was still good. I'd love to go back though. I just haven't had the chance since. So it's good we got it out of the way while we were still young....... That's why I try to tell younger folks to try and get as much traveling in as you can when you're young and have the chance. Because ya never know what may happen in your older age.
@@WildWestExtravaganza it was actually the Young Guns movies that got me so interested in the old west. Plus I have family out there, so that helped as well. Especially when it came to going to some of these areas when I was younger. My father and I used to take cross country trips to visit family and also check out the sites during the Summer after my mother had died. She died back in '91 when I was just 12. So I learned a lot about the different regions of the country on those trips. We also traveled some before she went as well. Mostly just to the relatives houses in Texas, Oklahoma, and Missouri. Her side of the family mostly. But we did a lot more after she went. I think it actually helped us both deal with her being gone a better way. So as I got older I decided to bring my wife on some trips. Once we had our daughter things got a little harder though. So I haven't traveled much since. Now my daughter is older so we're thinking about it. But things have gotten insanely expensive as of late. So it's not nearly as easy.
