If the Raiders were soooo tuff, why did they target the so-called "soft" Swan and Bradshaw. IF they were so tuff, why didn't they abuse Lambert, Harris, Blount, etc. Picking the "softest" says a lot about how tuff the Raiders were NOT
Not sure if this list is the greatest that played a substantial amount of time in the 70s or who was the best just counting their play that happened during the 70's. Either way the top 2 dont change they just flip flop. Tarkenton had the best career. Staubach the best per season in the 70's. Ken Anderson is #3 only because Fouts did not have his first truly great season until 1979. If you use the most comprehensive formula for a quarterbacks career ever created, the REAL GOAT scoring system, all 4 of them are in the top 15 quarterbacks since 1947. Bradshaw is highly overrated. From 1970 through 1974 Terry was likely the worst quarterback in all of professional football. He had some great years in 75 and 77-79 but not nearly enough to overwhelm those first 5 seasons. Yes as the quarterback he gets credit for winning championships but in reality he was more of an anchor on the best team in football. Only twice since 1950 has a team had a top 2 defense and running game and NOT won a championship. Those teams were the 72 and 76 Steelers. Bert Jones was amazing but injuries held him to only 3 full seasons.
My last game with my dad and he passed away not to long after.Smoked a big fat joint on soldier field steps right by gate 0 to the left. There was a set of steps that went up to the colanades but there was a fence when u got to the top so you couldn't sneak in.Im pretty sure people did get around it though
Riggins fumbled and dolphins recovered....strock should have had a chance to win.....remember watching with my father....sb 50 was our last sb together....he already knows the sb winners where he is at now...
What made this comeback crazy is that Seattle did not have a turnover and the Rams didn’t need an onside kick To orchestrate a 17 point comeback without needing a fumble, interception, or onside kick.......... is truly insane
Just like Scream made a list of rules to survive a horror movie, we need a list of rules to never be cursed in the NFL (or sports in general, for that matter)
2:15:08 He'd be remembered as a star with the Broncos, this was Ed McCaffrey's biggest play as a 49er. I know he had a couple of touchdowns there but this recovery is why SF earned homefield in the playoffs that year.
Saints? Your smoking crack...Steelers had 2 hof and Andy Russell should be in the hof....Saints against a decade of dominance.....this put together after hurricane katrina?
The Steelers are a bunch of hypocrites. They play dirty and nothing is done about it. Dove into Carson Palmer’s knee, no consequences, Hines Ward broke Keith River’s jaw, no consequences, Terrance Garvin broke Kevin Huber’s jaw, no consequences, Ben Roethlisberger sexually assaulted a woman, no consequences, Ryan Shazier speared Giovani Bernard, no consequences! If a Bengal did anything to the Steelers what the Steelers have been doing for years and getting off Scott free with, there would have been penalty flags flying everywhere. If a Bengals receiver did what Hines Ward did to a Steelers linebacker, they would have been fined 25,000 dollars and suspended for 3 games.
Always hate the argument against Kurt Warner because he had Isaac Bruce and Larry Fitzgerald - Tony Banks and Matt Lienhart had those guys too and they were TRASH
Of course, the idiots from Pittsburgh like Bill Hillgrove on there think it was a fair and square game. No, it wasn't. The refs were awful in that game. One of the worst officiated games in the history of the league.
