Welcome to my RU-vid channel where I share my interest in music, the great outdoors and amateur radio with you. If you like what you see please consider subscribing, it would be very much appreciated. I usually upload a new video twice a month. All the best, David 🎶🎸📷👍
Welcome back David been a while ,must say you have put this together really well and sounds good.have you ever thought of having a go at ' new life ' depeche mode? Would love to hear you put that one together 😉
Glad you enjoyed it Terry and thank you for the great comments. I always do my best to get the production as good as my equipment will allow. I'll have another listen to New Life and see if it's doable for me. All the best, David 🎹🎶👍
You're very welcome Tony. It was a real struggle getting this to upload on RU-vid last night. It took several attempts over 8 hours! It was a great relief when it finally made it! Have fun. All the best, David 🎹🎶👍
Hello Slim, lovely to hear from you. It has been a nightmare trying to upload this video... it's taken me several attempts. Not sure why? Hope you have a go at this one and please let me know how you get on. All the best to you and your family. 🎹🎶👍
Thanks for your comments. Yes, I'm sure that they could have created a basic interface for storing/loading patterns. I hope to make a tutorial for this track soon. All the best, David 🎹🎶👍
Another great tutorial David which i keep coming back to. Now it might just be me but is it possible to wright down the actual cord positions for the keyboard For instance D1: JD Softvox playing simple chords G+C, C+F, C+Eb on sequence 3 Maybe its something I mist so apologies if i did
Thanks again for your great comments Ian. I had a look at this one again this morning and it is a bit of a tricky one. But I think all the info is there in the video and the description. Do you have a way of recording? It's really useful especially on this track to lay down those extra tracks to fill it out. All the best, David 🎹🎶👍
Another excellent tutorial David, and so much easier to follow when you write down the note positions for the sequence in the description. I really appreciate this probably takes more time but 100% well worth it. Keep them coming!!!
Glad your US visit inspired you to cover this one. Always been one of my favorites. Great setting for the video. Like the switching of guitars from acoustic to electric. Great video and cover!
We had such an amazing time with you and Colleen in the US. The variety of music we experienced was so inspiring. Many thanks for your friendship and I really appreciate you leaving such a great comment. All the best, David 🎸🤠🎶👍
Thank you so much, it's been quite a long time since I made a video. I was thinking about you when Oasis announced their reunion. I wonder if you are going to see them? All the very best, David 🎸🎶🤠👍
@@DavidGordonJDXi So good to see you're back! Did not get the tickets to the UK gigs. Hoping they will make a European Tour 🤞🏻 Anyhow, absolutely thrilled to have the brothers together again 🤩
Thanks Mark, I really appreciate your comment and many thanks for the suggestion. I had completely forgotten about that great song. All the best, David 🎸🎶🤠👍
Yes, I set a patch up on the JD-Xi that seems to work well with my voice with a small amount of delay and reverb. Thanks for your comments. All the best, David 🎹🎸🎶🤠👍
Really pleased to hear that Phil. There are some great instructional videos for the R8 on RU-vid and I'm glad you found mine useful. All the best, David 👍
Good Lord, Michael Kane! I didn't know you were a musician. Oh, wait. You do covers, so this is a musician doing Michael Kane's voice. EXACTLY. Seriously.
Hi David Not only are your covers so insperational but your tutorials are such a great way to learn the JD Xi Please keep them coming............. Maybe Howard Jones?
Hi David. Really confused. I've followed your tutorials and got all my programs. How do I join them together to make the complete track and in what order
If you watch the beginning of this video you should be able to to see how the different parts play and join together. It's a matter of hitting the play button and then selecting the programs. It can play one at a time so you have to keep selecting the next part to play. It takes a bit of practice, but it's definitely doable. I don't have a written order of play, you just need to follow the original
Hi David Your Tutorials are so inspirational! so much so i bought myself my first synth the JD Xi. though i do play the Piano. For clarity, do you save and then copy each part to the next avail slot. when complete do you then save as a favourite and play the song using the Fav buttons switching to each part. your help would be much appreciated.
Hi Ian, thanks for your great comments. You have got my method of working/saving with the JD-XI spot on. Glad you're enjoying my tutorials. All the best, David 🎹🎸🎶👍
Glad you enjoyed it Ian, it's always been a favourite of mine too. I only made this version, using the JD-Xi for drums/percussion and bass patterns. The rest was on electric guitar. All the best, David 🎹🎸🎶👍
Awsome. Thnx for sharing. I love my Jd-xi but just dissatisfied with the analogue section. It's okay but limited. I use a Behringer Wasp Deluxe for bass and a Donner B1. The Supernatural sound engine though is awsome, and the drum section with all the famous Roland kits is fantastic
Thanks for taking the time to leave such a great comment and letting me know about your setup. I've never got tired of using my JD-Xi especially for creating backing tracks. I find the keys very delicate and am pleased that I have the larger Juno-D. All the best, David 🎹🎸🎶👍
Many thanks for your comments, it's nice to know this one is still getting views. It was one of my early videos made at the start of COVID lockdown. I had already had a go at the main theme, but wasn't able to reproduce it accurately due to the limitations of the sequencer. This second video was only loosely based on the 'master of ceremonies' piece and wasn't meant to be a serious cover. All the best, David 🎹🎶👍
