2 minutes in…I’m not crying, you’re crying 🥺😭. Jose’s death rocked sports news for weeks. No one could believe it. Someone guaranteed for MVPs and a Hall of Fame career cut far too short. RIP
4:48 I feel bad for Hunter. He had that. But aging CF’s have a hard time in LF and RF because for your whole life in Center, no ball has tailed towards you.
(disclaimer: I am a Jays fan just outside Toronto, and was watching the game live) The Bautista home run needs to be watched in the context of the entire inning which was over an hour long and full of emotion from both sides. Top of the inning had a throw by Jays catcher Martin to second go off the batter's bat, and allowed the go-ahead run to score. Umpire review held the call of no batter interference. Three errors by the Rangers in the bottom half, should have ended the inning before Bautista even came to the plate. Every other team sport has celebrations for great plays. This was easily a top 10 moment in baseball history. It was bat flip worthy.
for the record... Joe Buck's voice takes away all emotion that could have been there... but I imagine what it would have been like without a terrible announcer and this video is still really good.
