The World Series ended a month ago, and I still can't get over what Matzek did in the NLCS. Struck out 2 future HOFers in that situation, the Atlanta sports curse riding on the line, and when he struck out Mookie, I never heard Truist Park so loud. I have never yelled so loud during a baseball game. Braves fans everywhere probably had the same reaction. Forever a Braves legend is #68.
True words, Braves country felt it! Has to be one of the greatest plays/moments in Braves history! Like the Francisco Cabrera walk off in the NLCS versus the Pirates. Miracles happen in the postseason! Chop on
I was @ the battery for game 6 nlcs... that Matzek inning was the loudest I’ve ever yelled. Second is probably Rosarios homer from same game, as well as dansby jorge B2B. Unbelievable
Also, nothing felt more electric in my life than when all of Truist realized Chris Taylor messed up on the base paths. Will never forget being at that game.
The Duvall Grand Slam in Game 5 is by far the loudest I've heard Braves fans at Truist. Still an awesome moment even though Braves lost that game. I hope we have Duvall in 2022.
@@mrjimi1 I don’t know how people are still hung up on this. There’s not a single manager who is perfect in baseball and Snitker was almost perfect in the playoffs. Baseball is too random to think about stuff like that for very long, especially when we won. Go braves btw! We’re world champs bud 🤝
i was in the outfield on the opposite side of the chophouse, and boy o boy was that a fun game. When eddie homered, some dudes near us started spraying their beer everywhere and it was so lit. And when matzek struck out betts, geez did we go crazy.
You can tell that the Braves were getting more confident with each series and even just as the season went along. What a great run against some tough opponents in the postseason. I love the enjoyment from Freddie Freeman during some of these key moments in the postseason.
Was at game 6 of the NLCS and though Rosario’s homer shook the stadium I felt like the crowd was louder after Matzek struck out mookie to end the threat. I lost my voice for a week after that. The place literally went “let’s go” all in unison.
@@Cherokeechuck9 agreed, everyone was on their feet the whole game and people weren’t even going to the bathroom or to get food cause they didn’t want to miss a second of the game.
Went to game 4 in the WS. I’ve never heard a louder stadium in my life than Soler’s go ahead. People in my section were just standing on their seats chucking whatever was in their hands. Absolute chaos
I went to game 3, and that Riley RBI double in the 3rd happened as I was mid-sentence telling my cousin how Riley really seemed to have a knack for hitting RBI doubles this postseason. I also didn't think at first that d'Arnaud's bomb was actually gonna go anywhere, and I think the crowd was realizing as soon as I was because the crowd just got louder and louder as the ball simply didn't drop until it was gone. Definitely 2 highlights that are gonna be engraved in my mind until the end of time now.
I was at game 5 of the WS. No sports moment will ever compare to the vibrations the crowd sent ripping through that stadium when Duvall hit the grand slam. The stadium was literally shaking through commercial break until our pitcher took the mound. I was hugging, high fiving, holding hands and jumping around with people I’ve never met. Even though we lost the game it was an incredible moment me and my dad will never forget, and nothing will ever match.
I was there too and literally couldn’t hear myself think, my now fiancé and I just hugged and jumped with our friends. Sad we couldn’t win it at home but I’ll take anything I could get. Also the final out of the World Series was to the minute of my birthday and time. What a present!!!
A movie has to be done about this Atlanta braves season. What a Rollercoaster 🎢 ride it was. It makes this World Series that much better. And to finally beat the Dodgers to get there puts the icing on the cake.
Will Smith was off all season, Thought we would lose the NLCS because of him, and he played FREAKING LIGHTS OUT! What an amazing season, Pitching was great, hitting was phenomenal, Probably the best year of my life, Go Braves!
idk if I'd say he was "off;" he had a good year, lots of saves, good ERA. Just had a handful of blown saves. Definitely had a knack for the dramatic. He wasn't at his best like he was in the post season though, I'll give you that!
At the beginning of the season if someone told me our bullpen was not only going to dominate the Playoffs but win us a WS I would say you were crazy 😜. I was proven wrong but happy with the results.
For as long as I live… I will never forget the top of the 7th in game five vs the dodgers. One of the most important moments in Braves history without question
This season is unforgettable. I feel so lucky to have experienced it, even though I was never physically able to go to any games. I'm so so proud of my boys!! WS rings, so well deserved. #CHOPON #BRAVESCOUNTRY
My public school district literally decided to cancel school the following Friday just to celebrate the Braves' World Series victory. What a year this was, and I wouldn't have had it any other way :)
I hate to say this but if Acuna isnt hurt we dont trade for Rosario/Duvall/Soler/Pederson and we probly don't even sniff the WS. I love Acuna but still
@@jeffarnold3800 If we dont have acuna early in the season the braves dont sniff the playoffs, he was straight carrying the first couple months when all the other bats were cold.
Now that a strike is ongoing he can’t negotiate with the team till the new labor deal is agreed on. I hope the Braves keep him. He’s the glue to that team!! They lose him it would hurt bad but I think they would still be ok….the power bats we got omg!!!!! Insane!!!!!
When Matzek struck out 3 in a row with men on 2nd and 3rd OMG that’s when I first felt that we could really win the whole damn thing. My heart starts racing just watching this lol I hope we can make a run again this year
I got to see the last game in the NLCS series. The cheers and excitement after every out in the final inning were unlike anything I had heard before. Just beating the Dodgers after last year was one of the best parts of the season for sure.
After all the crap that everyone said about Will Smith all year (including me lol) and don’t get me wrong it was justified in my mind but he will never have to pay for a drink in Atlanta again! That dude was money when it counted! Lucky a time or two but definitely money!
15:57 funny story. So I just got out of work and I went to a party afterwards and the Braves are my second fav team, so of course me being a rebel I wore a Braves hat while my cousins go for the dodgers, I should also mention that this is in L.A so extra spicy. It was all smiles, welcomes and “Nice to see you” for me until this moment, I kid you not as son as I walked into the party this moment happened, and all of my cousins looked at me all mad as soon as they realized what I was wearing after they saw what happened, safe to say I was everyone’s favorite at that time.
@@christian.edland they will. Just gotta get money right. Would be foolish to let him walk. As for the guys that won us that championship I’ll be hoping they can come back too!!
My dad had the opportunity to drive concession workers to Truist Park for the World Series games. He also happens to be a braves fan. Anyway the concession people gave him and his two friends wristbands to get into the game (They weren't really tickets so they had to act like they were working. Do you really think they are gonna work lol.) For Free. Lets just say I was pretty jealous.
@@WavyKid13 lmao when I made that post I was thinking 5-10 years down the line 😂...guess the Cards made him an offer he couldn't refuse. Don't blame him.
Watching these magical moments of 2021 again makes me cry ...such an amazing season. I wish we had everyone well this year cuz I truly believe we would've done it again this year!! Love my Braves 💜⚾🌭🇺🇲
That 12 inning game against the Phillies was a top 3 game in MLB. So many emotions from me. Just when I thought it was over several times the Braves would miraculously do something to tie it lol!

Before I watch I feel the Soler one vs Philly and Soler vs SF are both gonna be on here Edit: I was correct #GoBraves Edit 2: Totally Forgot About The Duvall Slam
Brian Anderson was priceless during the NLCS. And his calls and letting croud tell the TV watchers during the Tyler Matzek's 3 punchouts in a row was the pinnacle of that. WOW
My wife and I were at game 4 of the World Series and I can honestly say Fox didn’t do the crowd noise justice. That plays was deafening after Dansby and Soler went back to back.
