If your family (ie most of the people eating your dish) don't like mushrooms, why do you put them in?! 🤔🤔🤔 The classic Italian lasagne recipe doesn't feature mushrooms at all! Obviously there are many variations on this Italian favourite of which yours is one, but the classic vegetable base ie finely chopped onion, carrot, celery and garlic, is the original and best lasagne combination. The veggy mix is gently sauteed/softened in olive oil, (garlic added in the last minute of cooking), providing a sound flavour base before adding the meat, typically minced beef, often with some minced pork, for an authentic, meaty Italian flavour profile. No idea why anyone would add mushrooms to this dish. unless of course it's a vegetarian lasagne, or if they were short on meat and needed to bulk out what little minced beef they had. This lady could be the best cook in the world, but alas her nails-down-a-chalk-board voice and bizarre, left-handed mannerisms make her unwatchable.
