I wonder how he feels on Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, bc it does many of these things he's talking about. Less talking and waiting, more exploring and doing your own thing.
I've been watching this video dozens of times since it was released, and at this point it's 12 YEARS ago, and it's still my favorite RU-vid video EVER!!!! Not only is it funny, and on point, but it teaches you everything you need to know about video game design in meer minutes...it's NUTS!
It does not escape my attention that the animation somehow exaggerates her movements just enough to hit physically impractical and uncomfortable T&A poses at the end of every movement. It's either incredibly ironic or very clever. I'm leaning towards the latter. It's incredible work, regardless.
I remember on amino some fucker had that old man as their pfp and would tell people to join their cult which was just filled with other people with that same pfp. Good times
This is very nearly ten years old... There's alot of stuff I like that has a decade on it but THIS one reaching that milestone bothers me. Maybe that's a testament to how special sequilitis is. It's so lively, so assured, so well produced, so passionately argued, and so finely realized that it seems as if it was uploaded within the last year. I haven't even played Zelda games beyond Ocarina, nor MegaMan, nor castlevania. It's just an honestly engaging and funny piece of persuasion. I come back to it annually for a reminder of just how entertaining a perspective can be made. Make no mistake, this series was Arin's masterpiece. I hope he has a few more instalments in him, regardless of how profitable they are relative to video game commentary.
