South Americans do more for Sega than Sega does for Sega. Might as well relocate the HQ down there. Bet we would see all the mini systems a lot sooner too.
Another thing on the reader writer though could just be because why use a drive that can only read. Whether it can or can't actually burn disc's doesn't matter, the dreamcast couldn't burn disc's but they played on it.
A FPGA based Sega console with all 8 and 16-bit consoles combined would be cool as long as it's more readily available than the Mega SG. I would personally have the disc drive as an attachment to make it affordable cuz I can't imagine the cost of it and if they can find the right drive available that can be able to read GD-ROM discs.
I’m 52 and really a creature of habit and slow to change. With the right emulator you can get smoother polygons and a better visual experience. Just one off my small brain is Duck Station, holy cow does it make the old games look good. Man I’m not a purest and I owned these games physically and my old Saturn can’t make Burning Rangers Look as good as it does on a good emulator on my PC. Sprite based games usually stand the test of time but old polygon games…😢
This is nothing compared to what I got. I've had half a case ripped off it was in two pieces, another case was smashed, black boxes, and then another one where a dog chewed the entire case. Lol, I'm like, wtf is this. This stuff costs a lot to restore. They need to do better job with listing conditions. You'll never know what you get. It's like rolling the dice.
Isn't the Dreamcast architecture incredibly complex? If so, think of how insanely complex it's FPGA processor would have to be, and therefore expensive!
As long as the Neptune isn't as expensive as getting one made (which is roughly $1100 with higher quality printed shell) I'll definitely consider it, especially if it comes in black and can output to a CRT
Yoo sorry I haven't had time to tune in. It's been months my bad. This looks cool but I wanna know about the alien you saw. I'm what video do you mention it? I've had my experienced too. Not Allen's but UFOs in the sky
It is supersega dot com ... cant post actual the link... It is too much to explain, but it is too risky posting links on RU-vid anymore for sites that are registered by individuals.
As a lifetime Sega fan I’ll be watching this very closely. Now with that said the console itself looks ugly but if it does what they’re promising I’ll be picking this puppy up!
To stay out of legal radar definitely don't want to be using the SEGA name, but I wouldn't immediately say its a scam... though I would be very cautious until something physically working is actually shown.
This is d0Pe as Hell, If it Comes in a SMS or I could 3d Print a SMS Shell for it That Would Be Soooo Nice. I never Had an SMS, I went 7800 to Genesis, I've Always Loved the Look of the SMS for soem reason, and finally saved enough for the GameGear when it was on clearance, so I have games I love for the system
Mmm... Looks like a wish list. I bet on the Brazilian Neptune to be honest. The concept of reviving an old project is quite cool and the aim of an alternative to Analogue mega is quite realistic in my opinion.
Never underestimate Spanish and Portuguese folks. They'll build and make things work that wouldn't make sense but end up realizing we needed it all along. 😂
Even if it cant do dreamcast if it can do and take physical of all others with fpga i would be interested. I play retro more than anything. I have all consoles listed. I can actually box up the others and save lot of closet space and combine controllers.
I saw no progression nor existence of core development for those advanced Sega platforms.. how do you even known what HA spec should reserve for those systems?
The dvd writer on the supersega is to be used like modern machines are used, the content of the disc is copied to iso file on a hard-drive and then it's played of the iso file. It's similar to what the Terraonion mode does with the original Saturn and dreamcast, it doesn't play direct from de disc. It's a clever implementation imo.
