I do animated video essays & deep-dives about cartoons, movies, general geek stuff that I like, in order to become a better writer! Not really appropriate for kids so any under-13s should head elsewhere!
Interesting tidbit: A wrestler by the name of Crash Holly (real name Mike Lockwood R.I.P.) used to be referred to as Elroy actually after Elroy Jetson.
so i had never seen a jelly filled donut when i saw that episode and i also didnt know what onigiri was it took me until seeing the jimbles notronbo ep featuring an unfinished jelly donut for me to go to the store to figure out who was lying to me it was 4kids and i still have not forgiven them
i realize this isnt the point here but do people still have fly swatters i havent seen one since my grandparents were alive and let me just say im fuckin old so theyre dead as hell
I want a Dr strange movie where he reacts to and gets teased all throughout his adventure about the meme that goes “what if Dr. strange was called Dr. Freak and he ate ass and sucked toes”
Oh...I had a much more dark take on the Jetsons/ Flintstones dichotomy...One is where the Union won the US civil war leading to industrialised automation of everything and the other is if confederacy won and decided on a more ... biological approach to automation. Having listened to the Behind the Bastards episode on Thomas Jefferson and how he "automated" his manor at Monticello, it kinda feels like his idea of an ideal home might've been that template for suburban middle America.
like guys getting arrested for saying something on the internet? or the guy arrested for not wanting his kids in the woke gender classeswiht less in 10y IT MUST BE THE BIGGOTS CONSERVATIVES!
On the subject of race Southern states had a bigger population of African Americans then the northern ones mostly the north west during the early to mid 1900s but this is hearsay. (Not a American I'm Japanese)
1:13 Coco also includes El Santo! The original great luchador! Dude was so famous in Mexico that the Mexican government ran his funeral. Insane how popular he was. It extended to TV, movies, and even toys.
My theory is goofy as a dog. But someone in the Mickey Mouse universe was playing. Doctor funkinstin goofy and he happened to be the test subject. Now, feel free to debunk this. I will not be offended. That is just my theory.
I think another part of it is likely the "corruption of innocence" that a lot of people like doing. Not just like this, but by also making (kinda terrible) creepypastas like "_______ the lost episode" or "cupcakes"
As a millennial myself (although I'm not a parent) I'm not really into queer representation in kids media. If it's a subtle, passing remark, I'm okay. If it encompasses an entire episode or series, I'm not okay with it. It's why I didn't watch the Owl House. I think the lead and her partner are too young
15:48 Trump... did WHAT? How wasn't this bigger news? Why weren't there more protests? How is watching a two year old video on Captain f-ing Planet, how I hear of this? ...Like, stuff like wasting a bunch of money on building a wall or whatever is one thing, but GETTING RID OF THE DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION Does he WANT the world to go to hell? And of course, I'm watching this on the fourth of July. Between that, and learning that we still haven't signed that treaty mentioned earlier in the video which I'm not feeling like tracking down the time stamp, I'm feeling less patriotic than ever.
Somehow even though I watched this video when it came out I'm only now noticing my duplicate card tweet was in this video. Tom was very much apologetic when it came to his attention and I think I had my missing cards within the week. Was a top notch project all round and now excitedly waiting for the Mine Turtle game
the problem with the whole 'personal responsibility' message that most of those save the earth things spout is that corporations contribute far more to pollution and environmental destruction than any individual does, by a massive amount. I'm not saying that living a more eco friendly lifestyle doesn't help, but to have any chance of stopping climate change the governments of the whole world need to crack down hard on the offending corporations and do more than just give offenders a fine that barely affects their bottom line.
