This is wonderful. Sometimes the Blessed Mother gets all the attention, to the exclusion of St. Joseph. Let us always keep St. Joseph the Woodworker, the adoptive father our Lord Jesus and protector of the Holy Family, very dear in our hearts.
I didn't go because you hate Baptists, and I called all the Midwest Baptists, not just ones I know (3) but all of them. We conspired to convince the Unitarian/Universalists, Methodists, Quakers and even Reformed Baptists not to come, Funny, we didn't contact any Lutherans? And yet they didn't pony up the bucks? Hmmm. If you come to Grand Rapids, MI to try the stand up, we'll be certain to buy tickets and get others to come along, and with tomatoes in hand, or at least clover leafs, we'll show our appreciation. Cheers Bro! I told Jeff and he shrugged and said "meh..." :D
I don’t think the great Jen Wilken would agree with you!! How selfish of you to raise your child under the admonition and instruction of God’s word rather than sending them to the wumbly bumbly machine! 🤣🤪🤪
The "protestant Trinity" you're asserting is modalism, an ancient heresy (meaning false teaching) condemned at the first council of Constantinople during the 3rd century AD. God doesn't merely reveal himself as three forms, rather, is a Trinity with united but distinct persons. That's how the Father can converse with the Son and vice versa. Plus, what ancient babylon Trinity are you talking about? The babylonians never believed in monotheism (one God) and were completely pagan.
St. Patrick is a saint who is very close to my heart, and I love telling people his inspirational story (beyond the shamrocks and the snakes, as I put it). I’d never seen this video before, but ever since I started trying to talk to other young adults about St. Patrick, I’ve found that every conversation gets unintentionally shot down and drowned out by cries of “Dat’s mowwedalism Paaatrick” and “Dat’s a baaaad analogy Paaatrick”. I’m the kind of person who can take a joke, but it gets really discouraging when the only thing people associate with the stuff you’re talking about is a gag of a video from more than a decade ago. I’ve been able to very effectively combat many of the real life myths and misconceptions about Patrick in talking to others about him, but it almost always proves fatal to conversation when this video is their basis of information. Put simply, this video is unfortunately another example of the trivialization and misuse of St. Patrick and his story, and it’s worse for the fact that much of this didn’t even need to be St. Patrick for it to have worked as a sketch; it could easily have been any old Christian or theologian, and it hardly would have lost much of its oomph
Apostle paul clearly said that he spoke in tongues. Just because certain people are faking tongues does not mean the gift is no longer operating. This interpretation in this video is illogical.
How come RU-vid only displays a running count of the likes, and not of the dislikes? If that was humor, I guess I'm dense. And I hope it was humor I just didn't get, because the alternative would be very disappointing.
Would've loved to buy tickets for the show but that also involves a 4hr drive to my state capital and a 13hr flight from Australia during the work week... sorry
As much as I do wish this event was sold out, maybe a better way to monetize your audience here is to do a stand-up on live stream with a "cover charge"
