Props for not panicking when the shark was between you and your boat. Looks like she is well fed on seals and fish and knows you’re not on the menu. However, I would of been on the boat given the first opportunity. No point in playing on the tracks when you know the freight train is approaching.
She is clean because she is a young adult. 13' is a small. She was sizing you up wondering if you are on menu, it was that simple. The next curious human she runs into 'fuck around and find out'!
She was doing the classic sizing you up and swimming around you whilst getting slowly closer to you , that is predatory behaviour. All sharks are ambush and opportunistic predators . She would not go for an attack unless you were unaware of her and she could attack without being noticed or if she thought you were close enough for a chance . I guarantee if you would have stayed long in the water her behaviour would have gotten more threatening.
Darwins laws are that of evolution and natural selection with hereditary traits being more favourable for survival. I think what you meant to say was about Darwins award 🤣🤣🤣 fail.
I saw a something like 300m away from where i was camped. I had dove the exact spot the day before and it was always the plan to hop in for breakfast. Didnt expect to have a humpback whale in 3m of water! That really isnt common so yes i was surprised to see it there. I dont think i did anything wrong but thanks for your presumption 🤙🏼
Very shark smart to be able to gauge her demeanor. She obviously was not in hunting mode or you wouldn't have seen her until it was too late. She heard the boat motor and decided to see what that low frequency was and had a look. She was a gorgeous specimen, no mating scars yet either! She proably just reaching maturity and no doubt if she survives another year, will be pregnant and birthing her pups out in the nursery at Port Stephens or 90-mile.
WOW!!! I would just bolt out of that water! This was an amazing encounter for sure! Great footage and self-control guys! I wouldn't be so cool in a presence of any shark, let alone a white shark!
Also, grabbing at sharks, stimulates them to attack-and then people kill them. Its pathetic. I can understand you did it. But i couldn’t get you all chatting with the guy who was still up on the biat whilst you two were still in the water, and not watching below you, THAT was beyond my comprehension, lol. But it was thrilling footage mate. Go, and LIVE, guys -good on you.! Greetings from an old lady in Melbourne, getting vicarious thrills via your hard work
