What does squares on paper have to do with the patterned quilting? I really don’t understand why quilters sew with paper.

I just finished a quilt with Elmer’s glue basting. It worked beautifully. I ironed the layers together and I had no problem with shifting or hardness. Walked away from stitching it because I got busy with other matters. Have you ever tried other brands of school glue, basically store brands? If so do they have the same results? Thank you . I enjoy learning about the history of quilts. What do you suggest for a medium loft batting ? I am not fond of flat quilts. I like a little body to it. Also I inherited a hand pieces quilt that is over 60 years old and few years ago. The fabrics are so pretty. I purchased wool batting to hand quilt it and it is like butter. I enjoy working with it. It is still a work in progress as I work full time and usually work on it during the cooler months. I am almost done with it though. Thank you for your videos. I am really enjoying them. 😊

So if I'm working on a larger quilt and using pool noodles to manage it, do I need to let each section dry before I roll up the quilt or can I still roll it up as I go and let it dry rolled up on the noodle?

I see that the corner spirals are not a complete circle, they run off of the edge. How did you do that.

Hi Miriam! I can’t wait to try this out! Question: when your stencil dries and you join your section up with a section you already quilted, how does that look on the quilt stitching? Is the joining spot obvious because you had to backstitch? Thanks! (Hope this makes sense!)

Hair spray used to be cheap. Where I live it is soo expensive now.

When I hand quilt, I use a thin polyester batting. The needle glides through easily. I'm going to try the glue basting
