Hi! Welcome to my channel! I am a life safety enthusiast with a passion for fire alarms and emergency preparedness. On this channel, you will find a variety of demonstrations and tests featuring life safety products, fire alarms, outdoor warning sirens, and perhaps a washing machine or two. If you want to see more of something, go ahead and tell me! I love getting constructive comments on where I should go to next, especially when I have a hard time choosing.
funny story: one year my school got a new system. when we had our first fire drill of that year, I had to tell the teacher that that was the fire alarm
i hate new paul. it sounds more robotic than craig. its just soooooooooo monotone. also sometimes it just stutters and doesnt say some things correctly.
Awesome video (from a fellow listener of KEC80)! I also recently got an R-200, and this video helped me decide to get it. I always love finding old videos of local EAS enthusiasts, especially featuring rare and cool radios.
The reason your phone battery goes down when your using it while it's plugged into the radio is because your phone is using more power then the radio provides it.
Given that this horn strobe is located near a firefighting standpipe, it might be in the role of a sprinkler "bell". Probably there's some issues with flowswitch. Also love that subtle reverberation echoing away in the tranquility of a nice spring night
Its been a year since you posted this video and probably came up with a solution. Nonetheless, two comments for others that come across this video. 1) I used a NX-590 module that has ethernet. Then the DL900 software/computer can sit on the network and communicate to the panel. 2) The error message may indicate that you access code is wrong which may be the problem you are encountering. Go to> Control Panel - Advanced- Download Access - Access code and set the code to the installer code for your unit. The installer code is not your disarm code but a code that allows programming the panel. These are nice security systems but finding user friendly configuration info is hard.
I wonder if one of the reasons my Duet front load from 2005 has lasted so freaking long... it's going on 19 years old....maybe because it's on a concrete floor?
The fire alarm in the scene shop needs to be replaced with a Wheelock HSW because the one right now is a strobe only unit which is a Wheelock STW as the fire alarm sounds from the Wheelock E50's doing the Potter Evax voice evac message and the Wheelock HSW's are extremely quiet in the scene shop as it won't get your attention easily and just the strobe will kinda get your attention
Something I believe you overlooked in this video: typically these residential combo systems will use sirens as there audbile appliance. The siren will do steady during a burg alarm, and during a fire alarm it will usually do code 3 or some kind of pulse.
For the purposes of demonstration, I turned off the driver so it's a voltage-only output, hence what you only hear are pulses from the panel sending power to the speaker.
Thank you for this video. We just had ours fixed due to a drain issue and I was certain that it was not filling right. I guess this is what is supposed to do? I think I will take bedding to the laundry mat or it will break the washer haha. Thank you for this.
I had a top loader for forever and just switched to a front loader and when I tell you I scratched my head so many times thinking the machine was broken 😂😂
