A few comments on your video, Firstly, and most important, thank you - it is helpful but at @5:42 you talk about non-designated TWS and allude that you'd explain it. You never do. How do you enter non-designated TWS. An STT lock converted into TWS alerts the bogey/ bandit you are looking at them. They would notice the spike on an RWR but not be aware that they are your focus using STT broadcasts this. Another observation, albeit trivial, you use different nomenclatures than the key bindings. I assume Auto Acquisition 'IN' is "PRESS"? And lastly What you guys have done with this is huge - it's VERY impressive. Worth the wait!
4:50 Thats really interesting. I remember reading a hughes report about how the awg 9 on the tomcat included low prf modes specifically for receeding targets. Makes sense as it was originally derived from the asg 18 and aim 47 used in the yf 12 (badass plane btw), and the apg 63 only needed to guide the aim 7, which lacked range in tail aspect shots. This wasnt included in the apg 63 as part of a pentagon cost cutting act during development, according to the usaf development history doc. Yes, the f15 wasnt an unlimited "build the best plane you can, no restrictions" project as people like to think.... HOWEVER, aerodynamics is really where they spared no expense. Specifically aoa capability :D
Be good if you explained the TWS mode some more. It’s way different than the F-16/18, where they talk about locking bandits in TWS rather than STT so they don’t know they’ve been locked. It in the 15 it seems like you are always in RWS (but there’s no indication) and the ONLY way to lock is to use STT, but then just locking more targets is called TWS. And TWS only has a very narrow scan width.
TWS has several different modes, for different situations. The thought about locking up in TWS to avoid a missle warning to the target still applies as well. The mode indication is down in the bottom left corner.
Does the bigger radar in the F15 allow radar lock from farther distances than the F18 and F16 smaller radars? In theory I think yes but just want to know if it is confirmed for DCS?
Good question. There was a rumor that that E's radar was powerful enough to fry enemy radars but I don't know if that's true. I know the F-22 and F-15EX can do it though.
How amazing is it that a respected company releases tutorials that include Hotas functions WITHOUT having explained what the Hotas functions actuate are. Here is what are we going to do Razbam…we gonna have to ignore these videos until we get the basics… 1) Cockpit tour 2) Hotas explanation and basic key bindings😮 3) startup , shut down and general procedures ….and then and only THEN one can talk about radar details.
From what I have seen, the HOTAS will be pretty standard compared to others aircrafts like the F-18 and the F-16. Search for "Real life F-15C button map". The tutorials are more to present the good stuff directly. The startup sequences often are gimmick at the beginning anyway.
@@jg3nius135 I couldn't find those actually but F-15C and F-15E should be almost identical. The search should bring you directly to a reddit post with good pictures.

@@mcthemis62402 go play war thunder if you can't fill in the blanks with what he's saying. Most of this shit translates between multiple aircraft in the sim.
@@smellysardin3793 it’s a full fidelity module, not like FC3. You *could* use keyboard but that would be painful (I used to do it too). Keyboard for some controls is fine imo but I try to minimize keyboard usage. Tbh depending on your budget I can get you set up pretty easily. I have a T16k HOTAS that I put up in the box. Potentiometer has the usual issue they all have, so you can’t really use the twist axis. Other than that she’s a beast. Throttle and stick for $60 + shipping.
@@Procxlite that is a good deal but idk my main thing is will the plane just fly normally like the fc3 stuff do. I played a lot of the fa18 because it handles like the fc3 planes on keyboard unlike the f16 that i can't play
It REALLY helps if the person demonstrating the features of the module DOESN'T stammer, stutter, constantly correct himself of mis-represent what we are seeing. I've heard 5th graders present papers with better communicaiton skills than this guy. If this is the best Razbam can do presenting their product, why would I ever buy it? Be PROFESSIONAL. SCRIPT what you are going to say, EDIT out the mistakes and DON'T sound like some guy in his basement whjo never took a public speaking course. GEESH . . .this was so hard to watch with all the stammering and stuttering.
If you had heard carefully you would have known that the "guy in his basement" is a former F-15E pilot. Honestly, I really like all his previous videos. I certainly prefer a pilot or WSO to a random guy. Having a pilot or a WSO presenting its aircraft is REALLY a luxury (especially for modern aircrafts like this one), so just sit tight and enjoy. It would be very nice to have a interview of Notso actually :)
